"I’m not a part of, nor do I know anyone prior to meeting Mr. Roman Shklyar at Sunset Roofing LLC. Let me say this: I never take the time to write reviews, but I’m compelled to write this: #1. Absolutely, hands down number one in customer service! Roman’s communication, and follow through is superb! What a pleasure it was dealing with him on my roofing project! I didn’t meet his crew, but they all did a great job on the roof! #2 Roman was very knowledgeable, courteous, and straight forward. I was under promised and over delivered! He quoted me three weeks and the job was completed in less than two weeks from our initial meeting! Yes they had a time slot open up, good weather was a factor I’m sure, but he called me and said “we can come and do the roof earlier than quoted is that ok ?” #3 No surprises! I was quoted and billed the same dollar amount! They did a complete tear off, installed a new roof on my home and also replaced a missing piece of fascia. Cleanup was very good, considering how much debris there was, although not perfect. They even took care of a couple little extras repairs for me (I was SO happy not to have to climb up and fix them myself)!"

"Note, we got asphalt singles...metal was the only choice above. We live on Lake Ontario and our roof took damage from high winds. Tall Pines was one of the roofing companies I called to get repair estimates. Tall Pines was my clear and easy choice for the job. Matthew (the owner) stayed involved from start to finish. He met with the insurance estimator and even contacted my insurance company to check on my claim status. The job was promptly scheduled and within days materials arrived and the crew a couple days later. Dave (project manager) was excellent from start to finish. "Some of the negative problems a mess was left big chuncks of concrete under my furniture some stuff wasn't covered properly. Something very sentimental to me got broke i got told 'm sorry that happened they were told to becareful due to breakable items. They offered to come back & clean up all the mess that was left & fix some other issues. The two guys who came back for my concerns were very nice & respectful & addressed & fixed the issues. The installation team was very friendly as well but was the ones that left the mess & broke a item of mine I've had for 10 yrs. So very heart broke over that. Now just waiting to see how my basement holds up when it rains heavey or for days at a time."

"We just had Scarpone and Sons replace our roof in the middle of winter!! They chose the perfect day to rip off the existing roof and replace it in a little over a day. Lucky for us it stopped snowing just long enough for them to do what they do. They were efficient, fast, and did an excellent job. The roof no longer leaks and we are so happy! I highly recommend them to do YOUR roof. In fact we recommended them to a couple that were thinking of replacing their roof."

"My initial review (JAN 10) stated: I used Angie List to find a Pro in my area to repair damaged shingles after a wind storm. Tony and Nick responded immediately and were able to make the repairs the same day. They were very professional and thorough. They not only made the repair to the roof, but resealed the chimney and nearby roof vents. They also cleaned the gutters at a fair price. UPDATED REVIEW (APRIL 7, 2026): 3 months after the repair the shingles came off again. I was told there would be an additional charge to resolve it, but I will not be pursing this. I was also not pleased with the color selection of shingles, but that is my fault for not confirming it. I understand that a patch will be noticeable regardless, but this is a completely different shade of brown. I dread looking at it everyday when I pull into the driveway as it has become quite the eyesore from the street."
