"The process was a pleasure from start to finish.  I measured our cabinet openings and came up with the finished sizes for the doors and drawer fronts.  I entered them in the website sheet and called the company to make sure I had it all right and for some help on some items.  I talked with Haley Mitchell that time and every time I called or emailed.  He was great to deal with -- great communication and he always came through as he said.  The doors and drawer fronts were packed very well, delivered to Florida on time, and the quality was outstanding.  My wife and I were extremely impressed.  We had Advantage spray paint our doors, and they did an excellent job.  They use a Sherwin Williams furniture manufacturer finish product that seems very durable.  One drawer front did not show up with the original order.  I'm not sure if I left it off the order or they left it out, but Haley made another and shipped it quickly -- no questions asked.  I highly recommend them. <br />"

"The quality of work was good. The problem that I had was when they left for the day, they did not clean up after themselves. My wood floor in my house is ruined in spots because they did not lay plastic on the floor going in and out. Their were a few miscommunications between them and their supervisor. He forgot to tell them certain things to do. The day they were finishing up, they were in such a hurry, they did not hang the towel bar, mirror and lights like they were supposed to do. We had to do it. They were always very polite and were here when they said they would be. My bathroom looks great, it was just those couple of issues I had. If I hire them again, I would make sure they cleaned up every day after they left. <br />"

"<p>Job was done on the date promised, in the time span estimated and at the price quoted. The two man team properly braced the porch roof before tearing the old column out. They built the new column on site. The team removed all tear down debris as well as the trash from the construction phase (a really big plus in my book since I have had other contractors leave their trash for me to clean up.) The contractor asked for a deposit before they began and the balance after the work was completed. I marked them down on punctuality since they told me that they would be here at 9:00 but it was 90 minutes later before they arrived and another 30 minutes before they started work. As I said above, the work completion was promised for the end of the day and they met that. </p> <br />"

"I did some of the work and they did some. We worked together really well on the project. It was excellent. I would highly recommend them. In fact, after this work, I’m going to have them build a house for me. That work is going to be around $180,000."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Batesville, MS

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
