"We hired GreyBridge to install 2 exterior doors for us. Joshua, the owner, took great care in the job, and was professional, helpful and nice. He exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needed help in any projects that needed to get done."

"We contacted Maine House Painting via phone and email, and got a prompt reply from Jev, the owner. He came out for an estimate within a couple days and got the estimate to us very quickly. We needed the house power washing within a couple weeks, and the apartment and deck work needed to be done a month later in a specific two week period of time. Jev worked with us to get the work done on time. The powerwashing ran into some glitches - our electrical system on the house couldn't handle his electric power washer - so he got a generator and his men did the work on the weekend in order to meet the deadline, and he didn't charge us extra. The deck and apartment painting had to be done in coordination with flooring and plumbing contractors, and the deck had to have a rain-free window of time as well. The scheduling became really messy with all these variables, yet Jev remained calm throughout and confident that they'd finish on time, which they did! Communication: Jev gives a daily email update, which is very useful. Before they started the apartment work, I emailed him with the names/numbers of the paint and stain we wanted them to use. He asked where we'd bought them in the past. He went to that paint store and when he found that the number of the paint I'd given him didn't match the name, he drove all the way to my house to clarify what I wanted. It had been my error. When he discovered that the stain we wanted for the deck was no longer available, he worked with the paint supplier to come up with a reasonable alternative and checked with us to see if it would work for us. English is not his first language, and some of his team speak very little English, yet we always managed to communicate what we needed to. Quality: all of the work that Jev and his crew did was top notch! We had hired a different painting contractor for some work earlier in the spring, and his work was a ton better. Jev noticed some minor carpentry that needed doing (a deck baluster needed replacing and an electric panel needed framing), and he did both without extra charges. It all looks really great. I highly recommend Maine House Painting! Punctuality: unlike other contractors, Jev and his crew would start later in the morning, say 9:00 or 10:00. We didn't always know when they would be showing up, but the main thing was that they got all the jobs done on time."

"I reached out to KCM due to a leak in our roof. Gage got back to me immediately and scheduled a time to come inspect that day. Two days later he had a team here to replace the shingles on our house. His team did an outstanding job and Gage kept us informed through the whole process, taking the time to walk me through the materials his team was using and giving me advice on maintaining the areas of our roof that weren’t being replaced."

"I contacted a number of firms asking for a quote on awning installation and most did not even reply, even some that were well recommended. Only one other firm besides QHI responded, and they were booking 6-8 weeks out.
Bill Willings sent me an email reply on 01/01/16 indicating that he'd come by on 01/02/16 to look at the job. He was on time for the job review. The first thing he did was to give me a copy of his certificate of insurance. After he left I called his agency and the representative confirmed that his insurance was in force and warmly said that "he was a good one [a good client]." I'm an insurance agent so I knew that that response was a very positive omen.
The street I live on has strong wind gust issues at times - once I  came home after a storm to find the front storm door lying in three pieces on the front yard. The house is sided with vinyl siding. We discussed how to secure the awnings so that the wind could not rip them off because I did not think that just attaching the awnings via the bolts provided by the manufacturer would be sufficient. I had an idea, but Bill came up with a better one - removing some of the siding above the doors and attaching Azek horizontally and securing the awnings to the Azek. I had thought of doing this vertically but that would not have worked out. He gave me verbal quote and sent a confirming email with the written quote. The job was scheduled for 01/25/16. They were on time. The work took less time than expected Bill and his assistant Bob did a great job. Also they're both friendly.
The price reflects, in part, the travel distance from Otisfield to Portland (about an hour one way), and that's fair. I would hire them again.

"I have been with them for a long time, but I do not like the trend that I am seeing. Their coverage is starting to be less and less. They are quick, and they will respond. The quality of what they do is good, just getting them to do it is the problem. Its more out of pocket than it use to be. I didn't like last time, I had a repair done on an air conditioner. The out of pocket was much as when I had the entire air conditioner replace. I asked how much did they pay the contractor. I asked if I paid them, and they didn't. That set me off. That is how I felt. I can't confirm it, and it gave me a feeling there was something shady going on. It was them or their contractor's that didn't do something by board. What I am hearing around no one is any better."
