"We recently expanded a deck, added a patio cover, and are putting a hot tub underneath this second floor deck. There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid, but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid."

"The concrete was old, cracking, and was just ugly, so I decided to increase my curb appeal by having it removed and replaced. I entertained 4 bids, 3 from local business and 1 from Portland. The Portland bid was twice that of the others, which told me they didn't want my work. The 3 local bids were all in the same ballpark. I chose Joel because he made the best presentation and offered me the most options, and I'm glad I did. Kailui is a local company (a must for me) and a family company (Joel's son works for him). All of his workers were friendly, conscientious, and did little extras to show they care about what they do. I enjoyed the process and am enjoying the end result. I would hire Joel again and have referred him to several friends."

The guys were prompt and polite and we were able to come to terms with a written estimate in hand by the following day. "Our yard was a MESS; overgrown with weeds, and to the point where we just felt it was out of our hands as parents of a newborn with no time to spend on it. So I called around for quotes and went with Courtesy Maintenance after Mariano came out the same night I called. We asked them to rip out all the weeds (which was A LOT!), trim up trees & bushes, edge the lawn, mow, and put down new barkdust. He quoted us $325 for all of that work, including 4 yards of barkdust, which his crew brought, and the price included hauling away all of the yard debris. So we hired them, his crew showed up bright and early on the agreed upon date, and did every last thing we had hired them to do. With the state of our yard, it took them the better part of a day to get it done, and when they were finished I just couldn't believe how great our yard looked, and how little we were charged for the amount of work they did! Throughout the day as the crew worked their office manager, Sarah, called a few times to check in, give me updates of their progress, and answer any questions I had if I had any. I thought that was wonderful customer service! Everyone with this company was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would hire them again in a second! We're planning to contract them for monthly maintenance as well."
