He was able to email his quote to me the same day that he came to the house to look at the job. We had to be a little flexible with the planned schedule due to unexpected snow here. However, on the scheduled day for the project Brian and his two man crew, Jake and Dan, arrived on time and went right to work. They were very polite and professional and did a wonderful job for us including a very thorough clean-up. My wife and I are very pleased with the look and shape of our trees. It is also reassuring that our trees are now better prepared to withstand the strong East wind we get in our area. We have used Portland Tree Care in the past with very good results and this time was no exception. "From time to time in our search for good quality work and services, a business and its owner stand out above the rest. This time was one of those occasions. I just assumed that removing a tree was a routine endeavor for a tree service but once I spoke to Rob Dickson, the owner of Branched Out LLC Tree Service, I knew this project was going to be different and top notch. From the first time we talked, Rob explained his company, the procedures, and straight up, honest pricing. He scheduled us in a prompt and timely manner just a few short days from our first contact. He coordinated with a crane company and operator, arranged for dump boxes to be delivered and placed, and coordinated every step of the way in person. While awaiting the actual day of the tree removal, Rob kept in contact and updated us about any important issues we might face in our project. He was honestly concerned about our well-being, safety, the conservation of our yard and property and that of our neighbors. Once the work began, he was true to form in guiding the process and making sure everything went as planned. His entire crew was professional, polite, and well trained. "Failed to return phone message first time (as did several others), arrived as scheduled for estimate, good disposition, not pushy, did not suggest unnecessary work. Said he would call me on Tuesday to confirm Wednesday work. Did not call. I finally had to call him on Wednesday afternoon to determine what was happening. Work completed on Thursday. During esimate visit, we had discussed removing dead branches of one tree and somehow that did not get into the contract specific. I failed to notice that omission and it did not get done. That omission made the cost non-competitive compared to other bids. Other trimming was as presented, neat, good cleanup. Stump cut up was left in ditch instead of felling in accessible, manageable location for our use (poor planning). I paid after completion, with the agreed upon understanding that he would return and work out a managebale solution for the dead limb removal. No followup action occurred, even after I called again and left a message. Poor followup and closure."
