"Masonry by Tommy listened to our needs and offered ideas to make it better. He offers the best quality work. The workers are very professionals, polite, and neat. Their attention to detail and the appearance of their finished work is the best we have ever seen. In repointing old brick and laying concrete slabs, they matched the color of our 20-year-old masonry. I would highly recommend Tommy to everyone!"

"We had a big water leak coming in from around the chimney in the passed few rains. The technician Gary from Select Masonry&Construction that was sent out did a great job he was able to detect the issue and get it repaired as he walked us through the whole process. He did a full chimney inspection as well and was able to solve the problem and serviced our chimney too on the same visit. Since then it has rained a few times and thereâ s no more leaks, the problem was solved at a reasonable cost as well as very professional work overall. Highly recommend for any of your chimney services, we are also planning to install a new roof with them."

"Regency was the only company out of 10 that we spoke to who were confident they could install the handmade European flat clay tiles properly, were not intimidated by the steep pitches, and had experience doing this type of roof. Their bid was reasonable. We are very satisfied with their work. It is gorgeous and water tight. They took care in every step of the process, from verifying the materials quantities to ensuring our stucco guys were using the right kinds of metals where they abutted the roofing materials. This is a company that knows what they are doing and takes pride in their work, and it shows. Matt is the nicest and most trustworthy contractor I have worked with over the years. He always followed through with everything he promised, and he and his team were in constant communication throughout the entire project. They kept the property as clean and tidy as one could do with such a big effort. Our roof is stunning and we get compliments routinely from friends and neighbors. We are truly thankful to Matt and his crew and recommend Regency without reservation."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Bayonne, NJ

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
