"This was an experience that was amazing. I had been looking for someone to come into my home and remove a popcorn ceiling. I had a few contractors return my call and they presented what they would do. Fortunately I did not go with any of them because they were all way over our budget. I thought I might be able to do the job with the understanding it would be difficult and I would eventually get it done. The more I thought the less I felt I could do it and I went online again and I saw a review for ROGANBUILT and I was impressed. I called and Dean, the owner returned my call within minutes. This was the best call I have received in a long time. This gentleman came to my home and enlightened me in what must be done. No one else explained how removal of the popcorn ceiling is just step one. He explained very simply that if he was to do the job he would remove my furniture, cover completely the floor and walls AND THEN retape the ENTIRE ceiling. and get a smooth surface and then paint my ceiling. He explained how the only people coming into my home would be Dean, his wife and business partner, Dawn, and their son who works with them. Because of COVID my wife and I had canceled a cruise and in two weeks from the day I spoke with Dean we were leaving on the makeup cruise. We agreed that this was a perfect time to do this work. I forgot to mention that the price was half of all the other contractors with the guarantee of the retapping AND painting.. At 74 I feel like I have a decent idea about people and when I met Dean it was like I just met my best friend after years. The way that the work that was going to be done was explained put me at ease. The cruise was nice BUT everyday I received a report WITH PICTURES of my home and what was going on. My comfort level increased more because of Deanâ s professionalism. While away I asked Dean if he would consider doing other things that were on my to do list. He agreed to put crown moldings in my very large dining area and he also hung a new door for us. The door had to be fitted with all of the hardware, hinges, handles and keepers. EVERYTHING was done beautifully. The last two bonuses when we arrived home was #1 the price for all of the extra work was so reasonable, I thought he had made a mistake. The man explained to me that he is not in the business of ripping the public but he believes in fair prices and he is comfortable charging what he does. Bonus # 2! We waled in the door and the house was spotless!! Alot of good contractors will cleanup after they are finished, remove boxes and remnants of their work. What these people did , remove a popcorn ceiling, which is an unbelievable mess, put up, 80 linear feet of crown moldings, and hang a door with all that needed to be done, and there was no dust, no sign that they were even in the house. My wife was amazed how much work they had done and cleaned up everything. I have never seen or heard of the professional way these people did what they did. The work is perfect, the price was very fair, and the fact that we were away and received daily updates is mind blowing. Thank you Dean, Dawn, and your son because of you guys my home is gorgeous. "It went great. Satisfied us when anything came up. Like, there were a couple punch list items, and he addressed them. Before he finished the other part of the project.
