"I called last week to schedule a time to have someone come in and install a chandelier. Also discussed troubleshooting a switch for a bedroom ceiling fan. They recommended I have a new switch in hand before they came out. The day of I got a courtesy call when they were on their way. Nick arrived right on time. I showed him both issues. He was friendly and professional. He wore an N95 mask for protection the whole time so it felt very safe. He replaced the switch and receiver for the fan and it’s working as expected. He installed the chandelier, and checked the height before finishing up. He cleaned everything up well. Total cost was $275 for both tasks. I highly recommend them. I have used them before and will use them again."

Scott loves what he does and he is very committed and punctual. He will not cut corners to do a professional job."

"I had hired an electrician in the past to replace an outside electrical box and was surprised to learn that the industry average for any home visit was a flat $300.  When I saw the Angie's List special $99 for $200 worth of work, I jumped on this great deal.  I only had two minor issues to resolve...I had recently replaced the light bulbs on the front porch lights and with a couple weeks one stopped working, I assumed there was a loose wire.  The tech removed the fixture and determined the connections were good and only needed to replace the bulbs.  And I had a light switch in the kitchen that was not working, the tech replaced the switch.  When the work was complete the tech told me that I exceeded the $200 worth of work and his flat fee for the work performed was $279, plus $5 for the switch.  I ended up paying an additional $84 for this deal. <br />"

"The first electrician from Kolb took apart the fixture and repaired the lead wires. When stuffing the wires back into the box, there was a loud pop. The other room light didn't work after that and the electrician decided a short blew out all 3 new halogen bulbs. Since I didn't have spares on hand there was no way to check that. Later that day as evening came, we realized lights in other rooms were out too. This was now Friday evening after 5 PM. I called Kolb's 24-hour line. The operator was happy to schedule someone for Saturday service if I agreed to pay the Emergency Service rate. I had to get adamant to make her understand that was not appropriate in this case. After some heated agitation, she agreed to call the supervisor. She quickly called back with his approval for Saturday service. Clearly, she needed a little more customer service training, but I give Kolb credit for coming through. On Saturday, the second electrician spent hours troubleshooting the problem which turned out to be an almost invisible break in the wire that the first electrician missed. There was no additional charge for all that time. So, yes there was a hiccup, but once the problem was elevated, Kolb handled it perfectly."
