"We had a problem with a drain from a window well that would result in continuous flooding in our basement. We were finally able to fix the problem with the drain and hopefully prevent further flooding. So we contacted two businesses about mold remediation and removal of the damaged drywall and paneling. The first company, provided a good estimate but they were not as professional or reliable as we wanted. After searching online we were able to located American Home Services and then used Angie's List and saw they had great reviews. I immediately called them about receiving a free estimate and they offered to be out at my house the next day to give us an estimate. The President of the company was the person who came out to give us our estimate. He was able to explain everything that would need to be done a reasonable time frame (2 days). I received the completed estimate within 24 hours and scheduled the appointment shortly there after. American Home Services responded on time and placed plastic down in the hallway that leads to our basement to prevent any damage to our floors. My wife and I then waited as they worked for the day and after they completed the days work, they then showed us the basement and what they completed. Overnight they left a dehumidifier and other equipment to complete the work. The next day they came back and hand cleaned any spots that weren't completely cleaned within the first day's work. After they were done, I was then shown the basement and the work that was done. I then received a receipt for the services and a print out of all the work/chemicals that were used in the basement during the repair. American Home Services then provided us with a warranty to come back and fix any problems within the first year. Overall American Home Services is a great business that is willing to work with their clients and make sure that their needs and concerns are met.

"We had used KJS before for cleanup related to a sewer line backup and were happy with their work, so we had high expectations when we hired them a second time.  This time, we asked them to get rid of all of the dirt, rocks, and dust left behind after two separate contractors did extensive jackhammering in our basement, first to replace the sewer line, and then to install drainage under our basement slab.  KJS gave us an estimate via e-mail since they already were familiar with our basement.  We then scheduled them, and they arrived right on time.  They stayed for several hours and cleaned just about every surface in our basement, even wiping down all of our storage bins, boxes, and other belongings that had accumulated a thick layer of construction dust.  Our basement now looks and smells much better.  We hope we'll never need this type of service again, but if we do, Kim, Jaime, and Steve will be our first call.

"Two women and two men, one being Ed, arrived on time 7:00 a.m. in the morning. Ed brought in ladder to kitchen to clean ceiling and walls. Male helper shampoo rec room rugs (excellent job). Cleaned l/r couch and two chairs. I did not expect a heavy cleaning of furniture since we do not have children and furniture not heavily dirty. I thought it would be a light cleaning. Did not expect our l/r hardwood floors to be completely wet with water. Ed did use a cloth to try to dry. My two red chairs are velvet and 40 years old. The wet cleaning, which took a day to dry, sides and back of them have pyramid shapes across them which do not belong there.. Ed is to return to view and if there is a way to fix this flaw."
