"I picked Mike (of Shingle Express) over two other smooth talking roof guys. My liked Mike's professor like attitude. The other two guys wanted to replace two sections of shingles (about 100 sq ft each). On the initial assessment, Mike said that my shingles were in good shape. From looking at the wet spot inside the roof, I did not think I have a wide spread problem. I felt that Mike was more likely to trouble shoot the problem and fix it. I went with Mike/Shingle Express. I was right in my gut feel. My leaky roof ended up taking ten trips to fix 5 problems. (Note: Every service trip had a scouting trip to assess the problem and came back to fix it later). Mike was very reasonable to work with. This is the good point. The not-so-good point is that you need to have faith that Mike will show up. He did not always show up when he said he would. But, he did show up a few days later from the original date. With regard to the five leaking spots, I cannot image how would I ended up with the other two guys that I did not choose."

"Very Reliable, John came on time, very courteous and explained to me all the repair work in details. Prior to him, another contractor has asked me to change a much larger portion of the roof with a high cost estimate but John felt that the only a part of roof needed to be repaired. His pricing was reasonable. Came back with his crew and did a fantastic job. His men did not fix a small part of the wall shingle properly. John came back again and fixed it promptly. "They work quickly and do great work. They removed 2 layers of roof and decking on an upper and lower roof. They installed new decking for 95 percent of the roof and cleaned up all in one day. They were professional and very pleasant to work with. I love that there are warranties for both the parts and the service. I can rest knowing that we should not have any issues with our roof - and if we do, we can call Home Genius. They may cost more than what others will quote, but it is worth it. We bought a house where it is obvious they went with the lowest bidder - that is why the decking required full replacement, and within a year, the rafters would have required replacement as well. The only saving grace was the original decking was extremely thick. The only things that were not so great were 1. Lack of clarity on the fact that there would not be shingles on the lower roof because it is virtually flat; and 2. The discounts were for paying cash and a flexible start date. But we contacted them, and they immediately responded."
