"When I bought my house nearly twenty years ago, I promised myself that I would do everything that I could to take good care of it. My home is a 1941 bungalow, and all the plumbing needed to be updated. Thankfully, I found Pacific Crest Plumbing on Angie’s list, and for the past eighteen years Nick, the owner, has faithfully and skillfully responded to all of my SOS plumbing calls. He has navigated the tricky basement stairs with a bulky water heater in tow and installed it with a special alarm that will ring if there is a malfunction. He has put in new water saving toilets, replaced dripping shower fixtures, unclogged sinks and drains and made sure that my entire plumbing infrastructure runs smoothly and safely. In addition, Nick brings a lot of wonderful personal qualities to the trade. He is trustworthy and respectful. He has a great sense of humor. He can be counted on. Back in the day, I would refer to rare individuals, like Nick, as being “the salt of the earth.” He certainly embodies these precious qualities."

"Our CPVC house piping had a lot of water hammer. After turning on the washing machine, I walked out for a moment, and then when I came back in water was dripping from the ceiling exhaust fan onto the washing machine. We have a two story house and they ran the hot water plumbing from the water heater in the garage through the laundry room ceiling. I removed the exhaust fan and could see water dripping from a tee way back beyond reach. The water hammer from the washer likely caused the fitting to start leaking. I turned the house water supply off and sent a message to Simpson plumbing through Angie's list. A lady from Simpson plumbing contacted me right away the next morning. She was courteous, but was having a hard time understanding what the problem was. Maybe I was giving too much information or something, but when the plumbers arrived later that afternoon they didn't understand what was going on. I ran through what happened again and showed them the wet spot on the ceiling. They had to cut an opening in the ceiling and we turned the water on and confirmed the leak. We moved my washing machine out of their way and they cut out the CPVC tee and replaced it with PEX. The piping was brittle so it took him a couple of attempts to get a straight cut which is why I called them to mess with it. After installing the PEX tee, we were leak free and at my request they provided a reference for the drywall repair. He also advised getting some water hammer arrestors installed on the supply lines to the washing machine to stop the water hammer, which I have since done."

"I had a clogged drain line near the street that a rooter guy couldn't break through. I thought I was looking at having to replace the entire line. At the risk of throwing good money after bad, I called Grumpy's. I got great advice over the phone including a number to call if I decided to have the line dug up. The rate I was quoted was reasonable. Grumpy came out and cleared the line in less than half an hour. In addition, he put a scope down the line, found the exact location where roots were getting through, and marked the spot with paint at no extra charge. He wrote down the coupling and pipe I would need to make the repair. When I dug, the break was right where he indicated. Grumpy was a real pro. He saved me a bunch of time and money."

The firm provided excellent quality work in the remodel of our master bedroom bathroom, completed the work on schedule, on time and within the agreed upon budget, and suggested very helpful design and product assistance. The project was a complete remodel of the bathroom that included removing everything. The shower was expanded in size with a built-in bench. The shower and the floor were tiled. The tile work done by C. McNearney is simply lovely. The grouting looks perfect. The shower was completed with a glass door. New fixtures were installed and relocated in the shower and replaced in the cabinet. Charles and his staff were a delight to have working in our home. "Great. He found the metal blocking the disposal and saved me having to install new one. Tightened my faucet in about half a minute. Replaced line and shut off valve to my dishwasher, increasing my water pressure. Showed me how to take toilet fill valve apart to clean out rust so I did not have to call them again."

"Advised there would be a hole in the wall that I would need to repair after replacing and installation. Wish I would have known that prior. Not sure if that is my negligence? Had to run to store as did not have all parts to finish. Advised I would get charged for that? Have not seen the bill for it however so maybe they realized it was their issue. All in all it was quick and we have a functional water faucet.
