"I had gotten 3 estimates on replacing a wooden 4 rail fence surrounding my 2 acre property. Erik from Chesterfield Fencing was the last one I talked to and was very thorough on the products and procedure. Presented me with a high tech type estimate/quote. I'm impressed how the company has invested in such a beneficial program but doesn't seem to affect the cost of the job. 1st company (recommended by long time friend) estimator/owner had me hold tape measure in between an electrical storm (two houses in my area got hit by lightning in that very storm and quote was hand drawn not to mention they were the highest $!) Jacob came out to show me a sample of the aluminum fencing I had asked for when company #2 lowered the $ to meet Chesterfield. We discussed where the fencing materials come from and history of the company. As a former small business owner I respect that they are as well. "Wes is the best.  We have used him at two different homes and he always goes beyond what is expected.  We are now using him to assemble a gazebo kit we bought and put flooring in it.  He is also going to build a fence for our new home.  He has always been prompt, fair, and done great work.  This will be the 4th or 5th time we have used him. If he cannot do the job he passes and recommends someone who can.  I would not take a chance on anyone else as long as he is available.

"I admit I'm very detailed oriented, but Fence Me In didn't have quite the same attention to the little things that I did. The fence was installed on time and looks fine, but only after I had to point out a post that wasn't plumb, and a few other minor things that just weren't perfect. They did come back and fix most of the issues, but there are still a couple of minor things that aren't perfect. For most people, their quality of work would be fine, but for me they left me wishing they had the same very high standards that I do. I've had several neighbors ask if I would recommend them, and I've passed along their contact info with a honest recommendation that they were "OK". In my opinion, if you use them you'll get a decent job, reasonable follow-up, and a timely installation. Certainly not bad, but certainly not the very best contractor I've ever used. I struggled to answer the "would you hire them again?" question. The only choices given are yes or no, but I really want to say maybe. FYI, I got three bids for my fence project and they were the mid-priced bidder."
