"James and his folks were great. I do however believe their quote / price was high when I hired them and later after another 2 quotes one via a phone call to a larger company. Both gave me quotes of $550.00 to $605.00 for same job. However, I had already committed to James. I still believe These Folks were a great fit and the Metal roof repair was done very well and I would Hire them again. However, I will get more quotes both from CJ's and others before committing / hiring next time. Thanks, James, you will be our first call on next roofing job we may need. 4.5 stars on a couple of things... Leaves room for a full 5 Stars next time around. Leaves A Little Room For Improvement."

"Some of the negative problems a mess was left big chuncks of concrete under my furniture some stuff wasn't covered properly. Something very sentimental to me got broke i got told 'm sorry that happened they were told to becareful due to breakable items. They offered to come back & clean up all the mess that was left & fix some other issues. The two guys who came back for my concerns were very nice & respectful & addressed & fixed the issues. The installation team was very friendly as well but was the ones that left the mess & broke a item of mine I've had for 10 yrs. So very heart broke over that. Now just waiting to see how my basement holds up when it rains heavey or for days at a time."

"We had a large tree fall on our house. The back of the roof was badly damaged and also a portion of the back wall and the ceiling and closets in two bedrooms. CJ's did the repair work for us. We decided to replace the shingle roof with a metal roof and asked them to fix a structural problem which caused a ridge on the roof and a slant from one side to the other. The crew worked hard on this problem and the metal roof turned out looking great and straight. They repaired the back wall on the outside and the inside of one bedroom and installed beadboard to both bedrooms. They had to tear down the closets completely and re-build them. There were several problems that turned up during the repair work due to the damage and the quirks of a 60 year old house that was built by people without too much construction experience. The rest of the work turned out well too. All of the crew was friendly, polite and were hard workers. The work took quite a while to complete because it rained a lot during this time so the work on the roof was delayed in order to keep the inside of the house as dry as possible. We got to know the workers pretty well during this time and they are all great guys and try to do the best job in everything that they work on. They cleaned up after they completed working each day and did a great job cleaning up the back yard when the job was completed. We would recommend CJ's as they have the experience to perform almost any job and the work is well done."

"They did a very good job with the roof and the addition that came off the house and covered the deck. The only reason I gave them a B rating for quality instead of an A has to do with the finishing touches on the addition. All around the house the soffit fascia is covered in white sheet metal. When they finished the addition, which follows the roof line of the back of the house. They left it with bare, untreated wood. They don't use treated lumber because it reacts with the metal roofing and some corrosion may result. That's fine, but they should have at least covered it so that it tied in with the rest of the roof line. As we did our final inspection, I asked about the wood being treated and he explained why they don't use it. I said " so I guess I'll have to cover it?" He said that I would. I was leaving town on business in a couple days and had a lot going on, so I guess I just didn't think to put my foot down and insist they do it. Here in Mobile, Alabama we are the wettest city in the nation. We get more annual rainfall than Seattle, and it's humid. Wood rot happens.I went and bought some Thompson's Water Seal, and some sheet metal and took care of it myself. I have some pictures, but I don't see how to post them on this review page. The workers were very polite and cleaned up very well each day.

FAQs for metal roofing repair projects in Beaverton, AL

Maintaining your soffit is essential. You must inspect it twice yearly to catch any clear signs of deterioration. Look for cracks, mold, rotted wood, sagging sections, chipped paint, or missing boards. If these issues are detected, contact a professional immediately to repair or replace the damaged soffit and protect your home’s structural integrity.

To maintain your fascia boards and soffits, inspect them regularly to protect your roof and home's structure. Clean your gutters to remove debris and prevent moisture buildup. Repaint any damaged sections to keep moisture at bay. Upgrading drip edges and vents improves airflow and dispels moisture efficiently, helping you avoid severe damage and costly repairs.

While installing a new soffit over an existing soffit isn't common, it may be necessary in some older homes. If removing the original soffit could damage delicate structures, a professional might recommend installing the new soffit without complete removal. Always consult a qualified professional to assess the condition and ensure this method is safe and effective.

When hiring someone for soffit and fascia repair, choose a specialist with proven roofing and gutter systems expertise. A knowledgeable contractor will thoroughly inspect your home and provide a straightforward repair or replacement plan. Check online reviews and ask for references to ensure you receive high-quality service that delivers lasting results and strong protection for your home.
