"Joe’s Appliance repair called me back, the very next day, to set up an apt, according to my schedule, not their convenience. The day of the apt, Robert called me before he left the store to verify I was at home. <br /> Robert ran a short cycle the see if he could get error codes to guide him in the repair but no error codes came up. This was not done by R-tech. <br /> Robert then pulled the manual (stored behind a panel at the foot of the washer) to double check on how to get into the error codes. This was NOT done by R-tech. <br /> Robert checked the codes and found the water valve was letting in air. This was not done by R-tech. <br /> Robert pulled the machine away from the wall, took the water valve apart and reseated it. This was not done by R-tech. <br /> Robert checked to make sure the correct control board was installed by prior repair (R-tech). <br /> Robert ran another short cycle to be sure the problem was corrected. This was not done by R-tech. <br /> Before leaving Robert took the time to explain why the error codes are helpful for repairs, what to watch for (does the machine stop in the wash or rinse cycle, does the machine empty out the water at the time of the cycle interruption) and asked if I wanted him to order a new intake valve. He recommended not to but just to use the washer for a week or two and if the problem returns call him back as their work is guaranteed for 30 days. He kept a record of what he thinks is wrong today and if he has to return he will be prepared. <br /> Total cost $128 for a one hour service call, with a 30 day guarantee on work - very reasonable. <br />"
