They even removed all the downspouts. While replacing some wood was part of the job, they identified, and replaced wood that I didn't know was bad. "The existing roof on the house and garage was torn off, new sheet decking installed on top of old board decking of the house, new flashing, drip edge, shingles installed on house and garage. Installed new ridge vent on house. Some of the siding that needed to be removed to install flashing was damaged as can happen but was replaced with new.
