Expense is one of the driving factors that usually determines the vendor BUT a more economical long range decision should be made based on quality. Quality of product, installation and service are essential components of this decision. This is why we chose to go with Power for our new roof and gutters. EVERY interaction with each employee was customer-centric. They patiently listened to our requirements and concerns and then offered effective solutions during and throughout the entire process. (The warranty was also the best available.) Power is a large company with multiple locations across the country, ours was headquartered in Maryland but the work was completed in Virginia. This geographic distance did not adversely effect the outcome. From the initial salesperson (who took the gutsy risk of letting me visit and talk with two neighborhood customers while he waited outside before signing our contract) through the schedulers, work execution and Quality Control final inspection we were well pleased. The work started on time and was completed on time. Numerous personal phone calls and visits by the Power inspectors provided us with the comforting conclusion that we made the correct choice for a truly professional contractor. With our 50 year labor and product warranty I doubt we will need to redo our roof in our lifetime BUT if we move we would definitely chose Power again! "I couldn't be happier with Walter Brown. They gave a thorough inspection of the roof by walking it, clearly showing me the issues, and explaining any potential problems that could arrive. When we met to discuss the estimate, I was very appreciative that in addition to the estimate, they gave me a worst case scenario cost. For me, that kind of honesty made choosing Walter Brown a no-brainer. On the day of the job, a full crew of over 10 people came and worked hard getting the roof complete. They worked as a team and finished the roof in a day. Also, they answered all questions and did a thorough job cleaning up. A few hours after completing the roof, the ridge vent didn't look even to me, so when the site manager returned to pick up the dumpster, I asked him about it.
