"Guy and his crew did an awesome job with a pavers project in our back yard at a competitive price. It totally transformed our backyard from a mud pit to a lovely, usable space. Love the result!"

"Excellent! They explained why I could not get grass to grow well in my backyard: once they excavated, the soil contained lots of compact clay and rock, causing seeds to drown from watering. Once we locked in a date, they knocked it out relatively quickly, and gave me instructions on how to maintain the artificial grass going forward. The cost was very reasonable in comparison to the quotes I received from other contractors, and they did not charge me for leftover artificial grass, which they could have done. I recommend J&R Rockscapes without reservation!"

"Perfect! Very professional estimator & project manager and the work crew was fantastic. Worked 7 days straight, very punctual and extremely tidy. They consulted with me whenever they had a question or to clarify something to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it. Very high quality- I plan to hire them again in the future to do front yard project with pathways & terracing."

"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

"Nelson and his crew did a great job with the project and I would recommend them for similar work. The demo turned out to be more challenging than anticipated because we discovered that the old patio was over 10 inches thick. This required a great deal of extra work for the crew, including hauling out the large pieces individually and by hand, and bringing in extra backfill material. A change order did result from this, but the price was fair for the additional work. The new patio pour and finishing went smoothly. We did the project in the fall, which resulted in some challenges with the weather. We had to wait for good weather days for the initial pour, coloring, and sealing. Nelson was very professional and proactive with communication, always letting me know when they planned to come out and whenever we needed to reschedule due to changing weather. He also worked closely with me to make sure the outline, pattern, detailing, and color were exactly what I wanted and did a good job cleaning up the backyard when the work was completed."

"They were absolutely fabulous and the most knowledgeable stone contractor I dealt with and there were 5 all together! They were completely professional and even when things took longer than they anticipated they did not charge me any more. I LOVE this company and will never use anyone else again! We had problems with 4 other stone contractors before they came in. They fixed all of my problems and were absolutely charming to deal with. They turned me on to some amazing cleaning products as well. I thought I had to replace our master shower enclosure and they gave me a stone cleaner that took ALL the hard water stains off of the shower door in a matter of minutes - I sprayed it on rubbed it in with no pressure at all waited 15 minutes and rinsed it off and it looked like a brand new shower. I had a cleaning business for 15 years and I never saw a product like it; it also cleans the stone in the shower of course. The owner Todd is incredibly knowledgeable and he can help you with any stone problem you have I am sure of it. They also gave me a 6 year warranty on all of the surfaces they sealed!"

"Eugene was great to work with! I had a very short timeline to complete my project and I was fortunate that he was available. He gave great advice on how to choose my colors, had this interesting tool that was able to allow him to match the existing color of the cabinets, and was awesome when it came to communication (huge for me). The work was terrific. I did a final walk through with him and he touched up my very minor issues. I found his price very fair for the quality of work done. I used him to paint a condo that I was listing for sale but I plan to use him in my own home at some point in the future."

"The company had someone else do the job because they weren't making enough money on the deal. The other company added to the existing patio because they didn't want to remove the existing one. The patios don't match. So the new concrete added was good, but it wasn't what we wanted.

FAQs for brick or stone tuck pointing projects in Belfair, WA

Masons charge between $70 and $110 per hour. A mason may have a minimum service fee ranging from $80 to $300. Most bricklayers offer free estimates and charge only if you proceed with the project. This clear pricing model assures that professionals inspect your property before beginning work and charge based on your project’s actual requirements.

A professional repointing lasts 20 to 30 years without maintenance and extends up to 50 years when maintained diligently. This process protects your brickwork using high-quality materials that ensure lasting performance and durability. Consistent upkeep preserves its strength and appearance, providing enduring protection and enhancing your home’s overall structural integrity for decades.

You know your house needs repointing when you notice clear signs such as cracked, flaking, or missing mortar and visible discoloration on the brick surfaces. Additional indicators include loose bricks, water damage, and gaps between the brick joints that compromise the overall integrity of the structure. Addressing these issues promptly protects your investment and sustains the durability and curb appeal of your home.

A house needs repointing to preserve both its structural integrity and visual appeal. Mortar acts as a vital bonding agent that holds the bricks securely together. When the mortar deteriorates, it exposes the structure to water infiltration and further decay, increasing the risk of costly repairs. Repointing stops decay and reinforces the exterior, ensuring long-term protection.
