"This company is excellent- very responsive. Ryder is awesome. He is very professional & so helpful. They were able to place an emergency tarp for me with short notice when everyone was scrambling after a hurricane. Their workers are very hardworking and do an excellent job. I know I can count on their work being done right. I highly recommend this company. We are so glad we used them first for a roof repair & then for roof replacement & for any follow up roof leak concerns and now for an emergency tarp on another property I own."

"We recently reached out to multiple roofing companies for quotes to replace our roof. Greg Luebbe was our contact at Angie Roofing. We were impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Greg walked us through everything we would need to know and took the time to answer all our questions. He also took the time to explain the process of reporting our claim to the insurance company. We now have insurance approval and going to set up an appointment with Angi Roofing to install our roof. I would recommend Greg Luebbe and Angi Roofing for anyone need a professional and responsive company to work with."

"The roof replacement went very smoothly.  The crew that removed the old roof was very careful to ensure that everything was taken away and the our grounds kept in good order.  Rick who handled the actual installation of the new roof worked steadily and professionally to put it in place.  He also did the woodwork in very professional manner.

"I have a fairly large roof (total size is 5000 square feet -- in roofing terms, that is 50 squares). The going rate for Angie's List A+ Contractors in Tampa appears to be between $290.00 to $340.00 per square. Good Neighbor charged $245.00, which brought the price to $12,250.00.  Prior to contracting with Good Neighbor, I got price quotes from five Angie's List A-rated providers.  All of them came in at $15-17K for the same project.
Note that I had a problem area on my roof where three sections intersect and had been causing a leak in my den for months.  Good Neighbor came back on site after the first rain subsequent to the roof installation, because we detected that the leak issue persisted.  They put on additional sealant, underlayment, metal drip edge and flashing that ultimately eliminated this issue.  This was not a straightforward fix -- in the past, I had had two other roofers come out and try to fix it with no success.  Good Neighbor were on-site for almost an entire day addressing this issue to my satisfaction at no additional charge on the project.
So, in all, Jim Fernandez and Good Neighbor Roofing, Inc. were the best price by far and provided very professional and excellent service.  My new roof looks great.  I highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

"We could not be happier with how our new tile roof turned out! The entire crew - from office to installers and owner - are professional and kind. The installation crew was respectful of our property each and every day making sure they cleaned up before they left. The owner Billy Creech came by repeatedly to make sure everything on was on track and answer any questions we may have had. You will not go wrong using Duramax for roofing repairs or replacement. Thank you!!!"

"I have been researching solar panels for quite some time, about a year before making a final decision to go with Sunpro Solar.  Although I met with several companies, I did not totally rely on what was presented to me.  I did my own extensive research on everything from the companies themselves to the individual components of the solar panels, inverters, productivity, quality, the manufacturers, etc.  I decided to go with Sunpro Solar for many reasons, but primarily because of the quality of the products they offered, the stability and professionalism of their company, and the longevity of their warranty.  My sales rep was Wayne, and i found him to be extremely credible and honest.  Everything went just the way he said it would and that's rare in today's business climate.  They could not install my panels on the initial day due to rain, but pushed it back two days to that Sunday.  They arrived on time and layed out the panels just as it was presented to me.  Everything went very well and there was no debris left at my home when they were finished.  I am very pleased with the look on the panels and their service thus far.  My net meter just got installed a couple of days ago, January 6th.  So it's too soon to address the output of the panels, but as far as the company is concerned, Sunpro Solar did a great job and I would highly recommend them.  They made the process very easy and took the stress out of it totally for me.  That's a big plus for me since I am so detailed and research oriented.

FAQs for heating cable for roof installation projects in Belleair Beach, FL

A typical heat cable uses 5 watts per foot, regardless of the outside temperature. So, if your cable is 100 feet long, it uses 500 watts per hour. Expect to pay an additional $40 to $200 or more per month on your electricity bill. Be sure to turn manual cables off in the summer when you don't need them.

To install heat tape on your roof, place it along the lower edge in a precise zig-zag pattern to maximize coverage and heat distribution. Professional installers secure the tape with specialized clips that attach firmly to your shingles. This method ensures even heat distribution to effectively melt ice and snow while maintaining your roof's integrity during severe winter conditions.

Choosing between heated gutters and roof heating cables usually comes down to budget, appearance, and performance. Heated gutters cost less to install and blend seamlessly with your home’s exterior, making them a discreet, lower-cost option for preventing ice dams. Roof heating cables deliver more customizable and powerful heat along roof edges to handle heavy snow and ice, but they require more material and labor, increasing your upfront investment. Evaluate your roof design, winter weather demands, and energy budget to select the system that works best for your property.

Roof heating cables prevent ice dams by melting snow and stopping ice buildup at the roof edge. Ice damming occurs when melting snow refreezes on a cold roof—often right above the gutter line—and blocks water from draining, which can force moisture under shingles into your home. Heating cables maintain a warm channel that clears ice dams as soon as they form and protects your roof from water damage and structural issues.

Roof heating cables last between two and ten years before replacement is needed, wearing out faster than your roof itself. Their lifespan depends on climate severity, cable type, and exposure to physical damage. Consistent inspections and preventative maintenance—such as clearing debris, tightening clips, and checking electrical connections—can extend their service life and ensure reliable snow and ice protection each winter.

To safely remove snow from your roof, start with a specially designed roof rake, standing firmly on the ground and pulling snow downhill rather than climbing onto the roof. You can also apply calcium chloride ice melt to break up stubborn ice or gently use a secured rope from a safe vantage point.

Keep in mind that large snow slabs can weigh hundreds of pounds and pose a serious fall risk. If conditions are hazardous or you lack the right equipment, hire a professional to protect your safety and your roof’s integrity.
