The modified-bitumen membrane underneath had reached the end of its useful life, but the piping could not be pushed aside while the roof was replaced. Some of the wood blocks had also retained moisture and worn shallow depressions into the cap sheet. A licensed plumbing contractor inspected the lines and developed a sequence for raising and supporting them without interrupting service to the whole building. The roofing crew worked in sections beneath the temporary supports, removing the old membrane and replacing damp insulation where the blocks had been sitting. New two-ply modified-bitumen roofing was installed before the pipes were lowered onto broad, nonpenetrating supports. Residents received notice before the brief service interruption needed for the final adjustments. The replacement supports kept metal edges away from the membrane."

They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet.
