Small jobs welcome

"We hired Luis to paint our bathroom vanity cabinet and we’re genuinely impressed. He was extremely neat and took the time to properly prep everything before starting. Even though we supplied the paint, he advised us on the right type to get for the best results. Luis and his apprentice cleared the space, made room for drying, and carefully removed all doors and drawers before spray painting and double coating them. He reinstalled everything perfectly. The lighter color covered the dark cherry beautifully and the finish is smooth and even. The job took a day and a half instead of one day, but we appreciated that he didn’t rush. He also cleaned up thoroughly afterward. Solid, careful, high quality work. We’d hire Luis again without hesitation."

"Alex is a professional painter. He arrived on time, gave us an estimate. He also was able to install insulation in several walls, installing sheet rock, texturing the surfaces then painting. The project was just completed and it really looks great. I will definitely call Alex again the next time we need additional painting work done."

"Ivan is great to work with. He is personable and asks the right questions to make sure you will get the end product you want. He painted our entire exterior and made sure the trim details were exactly how I wanted. He also did a great job painting our kitchen cabinets. "

"Victor was very accommodating giving me his opinion and putting on samples of the paint color for the Exterior of our house. He paid close attention to details I wanted and his crew did an EXCELLENT job painting the house. They were punctual with start time and cleaned up every day before leaving. His price was fair and what I was hoping to pay. He Started the Date he booked and finished the day he said it would be. You can feel confident choosing Victor’s Painting to do a job you can be proud of. Thanks Victor for a very pleasant experience. L. Thomas, San Bruno CA"

"We recently hired Urbinas to paint our front door and wouldn't recommend them. Ulysses came out to paint the door only to tell us that he wasn't able to paint a door that wasn't hung in the doorway and asked us to get our contractor to hang the door and install the hardware before painting. After having the door installed Ulysses and his father painted the door but forgot to paint the top and bottom of the door which voided our warranty with the door company. The door company came out and asked if we had hired someone who was licensed and bonded because the work didn't reflect someone who follows the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America standards. When we asked for a refund Ulysses blamed us saying we should have told him to paint the top and bottom and we are now left with a door that is now out of warranty and have to pay for another licensed and bonded painter to fix the mistake."

"Great communication, very nice contract, professional, lays out what he will do. We have a flat roofed home, and we wanted the Fascia/eaves painted. They did what they said they'd do. Nice people. Has 3-year warranty. Other people were really slow getting back to us even after inspecting. One party said our job was too small. Brambilas was just right. Inspected, quote, agreed, arrived, done in 2 days. "

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Belmont, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
