"The slate repairs were well done and professional. The work they did to prepare my two porches for the copper gutters was also excellent. The gutter work itself was good, but I am dissatisfied with the finished product for a very specific reason. Jason did not check to see if the porch was level before he laid out all of the plans for the gutter. It turns out the the porch roof is not level. It is sagging quite a lot on the right side, and in the opposite direction of the expected pitch for the gutter. As a result while putting on the gutters he discovered that the normal pitch the gutter should require would not drain the water. Instead, he explained to me, the gutter would be installed at an awkward angle to the porch roof, adding that to change it at that point would require him to re-do a lot of the work he had done getting the gutters ready, such as installing a hole for the downspout and soldering the end caps in place. I agreed, not wanting to waste all that time and material that was already invested, but I wish I hadn't. The gutter squarely in front of my house looks awful. It is at a radical angle. and not nearly level, as it should be. It looks quite stupid actually. After the work was all done and I'd made my unhappy feelings known to him he said that one way to make it right in the future would be to add a downspout on the right side and in that way the gutter wouldn't need to be pitched at all. Had he planned that in the beginning, the new copper gutter on my front porch roof would look splendid and would be a fine complement to my house."

"On Top Roofing was great. Tim came to quote the work and asked what I wanted and offered excellent suggestions. He wanted to vent two bathroom fans out through the roof to reduce the moisture buildup in the attic. No other roofer even mentioned it. He also wanted to replace all drip edges and re-led the chimney. Several others wanted to reuse the exiting drip edges and led. Given all that his price was still very good. The job took two days. His crew was efficient and the roof looks great. There was a supervisor (Mike) on the job the entire time who ensured everything went well. They had one guy who did nothing but clean up constantly. So the yard and surrounding area was always clean. When they left they swept, rakes and picked up everything. Very professional and courteous team in the field and in the office (thanks Kelsey). All this and a 10 year workmanship warranty!!!"

"After our roof leaked this past winter, we needed both interior and exterior work done to repair the damage.  We called Willard after reading very positive reviews and were happy to hear they could handle all 3 aspects of the job - roofing, replacing a window, and replacing part of a ceiling that was damaged.  Mr. Willard came out to give us an estimate and explained that the roof leak had happened due to poor craftsmanship on the roof prior to us owning the house.  He explained each part of the work that needed to be done in simple terms and let us know the options we had within each portion of the work. We chose to replace additional windows while we took care of the roof leak damage.  The estimate was consistent with other estimates we had received and no prices changed during the project. Melanie handled all of our scheduling and kept us apprised of the timelines for each aspect of the work.  The roofing crew came first - they were friendly, professional, and efficient and finished their work in a day.  The same was true of the ceiling/sheetrock crew, though they did leave behind a residue on our wall.  After calling the company to ask about it, I received a call back from Mr. Willard within an hour to personally apologize for the residue and to let me know it would be rectified at my earliest convenience.  It was taken care of the following day and Mr. Willard followed up with me yet again to be certain I was satisfied with the work.  Finally, Mr. Willard?s son, PJ, installed 5 new windows to the upstairs of our house.  He was professional and friendly and did an excellent job.  We are very pleased with the quality of the work that was completed, the professionalism and punctuality of the crews, and the ease of communicating with Willard Company (returned phone calls, clear invoices, etc.).  We are now considering replacing additional windows in our home and our first call will be to Willard Company!
