"Team replaced deteriorated cedar trim with Hardie board on the chimney and replaced cedar trim on two exterior window sills. Caulked and painted. Steep pitched roof with 18 foot high chimney. Team was very polite and finished the job to my satisfaction. Quick response to my request for a bid thru Angi."

"Gustavo and the team were fabulous to work with. The turnaround time was impressive, and the quality of work is stellar. Gustavo was quick to come to consult on the job and work with me to give us exactly what we needed and explained the different types of stucco and what would work best (we ended up getting traditional stucco and are so pleased with everything). We were having a lot of other work done around the house and the other contractors all commented on the great quality of the stucco work done at our house. Very pleased with ATX Stucco and Masonry, and we will definitely use them again if needed and highly recommend them to others."

"Joshua VillaLobos repaired a wobbly drive through gate and a walk through gate for the wooden fence in my backyard. He adjusted the latches and fixed the gates so they wouldn't say or drag the ground. He did a great job and made sure I was pleased with his work. I also asked him if he could do another project for me while there, and he had the tools to do this unexpected request. Joshua was professional in every way, he showed up at the time agreed, worked steadily with expertise, knew exactly what materials were needed for the work I needed done, and charged me a fair and reasonable price. He's also a very nice man with a pleasing personality, and I felt comfortable in his presence."

"Carter home and construction are the best! The team was early to arrive, clean , and ready to work. They made sure every part of the process was explained to my wife while I was at work and even bright my garbage can up from the street while they work. I would recommend the company to anybody that needs construction or home improvement"

"I cannot express how wonderful my experience with Expert Painters was. The owner truly cares about his clients. His crew is kind and goes above and beyond to make sure their work is up to their clients standards. I would definitely hire Expert Painters for future home renovations. We had our entire interior painted on a 2500 sq foot home including walls and ceilings. They also painted all of our cabinets in the kitchen, bathrooms, and mini bar. They installed hardware on our cabinets and replaced my sink faucet. in addition they stained our front door, shutters and posts. The home looks better than I could have imagined. They moved all of the furniture with care, and put it all back once the work was completed. They even went above and beyond to complete my office on a weekend so I could have the space to work in monday-friday. They were the most personable company I received a quote from, the most responsive, and the most affordable. Thank you Expert Painters!"

"Our deck, steps and railings needed to be re-stained. We already had stain leftover. We had Jose and his workers applied the stain. We thought it had waterproofing included, but didn’t, so they bought water sealant and said they hand apply it with rags-rather than just using a paint brushes or rollers. He said that the sealer soaks into the wood more throughly applying it by hand with rags. Which of course is more labor intensive! To this day, the stain hasn’t worn away! What an amazing job they did and I wish I took pictures of them working, but didn’t."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Belton, TX

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
