"I was worried that my 2 outside faucets were leaking and causing my water bill to increase. John from Advanced Plumbing came by and checked both faucets and the inside pipes. He said they were in good shape and he even showed me how to monitor the water neater. John also gave me a quote for new faucets should I decide to replace them since the house is older. The service was great with both John and the people I spoke with on the phone. I will call Advanced next time I have a plumbing or heating issue. In another entirely different situation: My son lost his wallet and an Chris an employee of Advanced plumbing returned it to him. He didn’t know my son but took the time to come to our house to return my sons wallet with everything intact. Advance plumbing hires honest good people."

"This is a historic home in Farmington, not some modern home where you can rely on standard building methods to get things done. A full crew showed up to demo the old bath(s) piping. They were able to troubleshoot and overcome plenty of oddities in the 1800's home, assemble a brand new (from the basement to the 2nd floor) plumbing system, and pass inspection on the first go. They constantly checked each other's work to ensure that the job was done right when they walked out the door, and even had an IRC book with them to reference code when needed! What really made it great for me was their pointers and advice on how to do my portion of the renovation to mate up with theirs seamlessly, and their willingness to work with me. I'm sure if you have some small issue or a modern bath that needs some refreshing, they could do it eyes closed... but a plumber who can handle a 130-year-old home and plan out a completely up-to-date bath in it is much, much rarer. If you needs are out of the ordinary, I'd call Matt before anyone else."

When I called several of the other "Big Name" companies I was told that I could be put on a list to get a callback in the next week or two--another company gave me an appointment time for two weeks out AND required a credit card to hold the appointment. I called Independent Mechanical based on Angie's List reviews. I left a message and got a return call within five minutes. Josh was leaving Waterford and heading to another appointment in my area, so he stopped by within an hour of my initial phone call. They quickly checked both units and found one that had frozen up. So, after turning it off, he let me know they'd be back in the morning before 9 to complete the repair. In an area where A/C repair folks don't seem to have much urgency, I am duly impressed. All four employees were kind, knowledgeable and respectful. The unit was repaired in the morning before 9 as promised. Great service. Great company."

"Michael Mylo and his two co-workers Jason and Peter are most professional. Michael's father ran the business before Michael so Michael grew up in the business. Jason and Peter have each been with Michael over 10 years. All questions were answered and the work effort was described before work began. They were careful not to leave debris around. Everything was cleaned up before they left. The only issue was one toilet flusher. I didn't care for the way the installed unit worked; they readily changed it out for one I did like at no additional cost. Mylo Plumbing and Heating is in my town and I try to support local businesses. For me, Mylo's service and pricing was good. I will use them again. I will recommend them to others."
