Their work is beautiful and my neighbors continue to stop by and ohh and ahh at the finished product. I love looking out through my beautiful French doors and seeing a grand stairwell with carefully crafted molded brick walls. James and Peter, carefully chose and aged the brick on the exterior to match the rest of the house. It’s seamless and the comment I get over and over again from neighbors is “it not only looks like it was always part of the house, it looks better than our walk up.” The project went smoothly. We also asked for some small paint jobs to be done to our framing in the kitchen for a nominal fee. "I contacted Cutting Edge about cleaning my flagstone patio - it needed to be washed and have polymeric sand installed in the joints. The company that had previously done it for me was no longer doing residential work. Kevin was very honest with me: he said they'd be happy to do the work but that I could probably find someone to do it for less cost. He suggested I check around with other companies. But in the meantime, he immediately emailed me an estimate. I called several other landscaping companies but they all told me they did not do this type of maintenance work. "We had a patio installed in our backyard. We met Bill from Sharper Cut at a home improvement show in Upper Marlboro. He was very professional from the beginning and scheduled a follow up meeting for us to come out and meet with him on that day. Before we had the meeting, he came out to the property to take pictures and see the layout. We had previously had a drawing which we sent him ahead of time. When we met with him, he had prepared several different options for a patio, including landscape. He listened intently to what we wanted and implemented it, including the seating wall, pillars and lights. He was very patient, showed the designs, modified them based on our questions and requests, and explained things very clearly. When there was a delay with a stone that we originally chose for the patio, he had us choose another stone to our liking, without making any adjustments to the price. The crew that did the work, showed up timely and were extremely professional. They would have been completed on time but got delayed because of rain storms that soaked the yard. However, as soon as it dried up they came out and finished the project. We are extremely pleased with the patio and all of our neighbors that come and see it, absolutely love it. Their price was competitive and they seemed to account for all options. They scheduled us promptly - moving us ahead of the expected start of the project. On the actual construction days, Pedro and his team were punctual and professional. When changes in the design and execution came up, or rectifying issues, they were handled well. We would have preferred a bit more communication about when team members would be present, and the project took a bit longer than initially estimated.
