"2020 Recommendation for Len Gibely Contracting Dear Brian Dobbins and Crew, I got more than what I paid for with Len Gibely Contracting! I engaged Gibely in October of 2020 to replace my roof, gutters, siding and more. In a world where everyone makes you feel like a number, Gibely clearly gave you a family atmosphere on the job site. Two words,...they cared! Brian Dobbins (owner), Jeff Northcott (general manager) and Deb Dwinnell (office manager) were a pleasure to deal with. They were easy to reach, and they were willing to adjust for certain changes we had asked for. Brian's experience helped us decide on the roof color (and quality) and gave us valuable suggestions regarding the siding. Never did I expect siding to look this nice, and this real (like wood). The crew was always on-time, polite, clean and most of all, professional throughout the job. It seemed like they never stopped working. They were on the job site early and left as late as possible. No one was hanging around, everybody was working and doing their part. My yard and driveway were cleaned daily. Myles was extremely neat. Craftsmen to detail, and no hidden costs or secrets. Our Job was finished on schedule, and they were able to accommodate a time frame that I thought was not going to happen. The aftermath of COVID-19 in 2020 left many of the surrounding warehouses with little to no stock available for projects. Len Gibley Contractors worked very hard to acquire the products needed. Calls began to be made and slowly but surely everything needed to complete the job began to arrive! This is why Len Gibely Contracting gets the great reviews, they care. Nothing but courtesy and an open ear to make the customer happy. I am glad I found them. "I had a roof replaced on m detached garage including all wood. Also had a small flat roof replaced. Both were in bad shape and for the flat roof that I had to redo the joists and outer wood. I have used them twice now and in both cases they were very responsive to phone calls and was able to schedule both jobs very quickly. In both cases they took their time to make sure the underlying surface/wood was replaced and fixed prior to roofing."

"they replaced the shingles on top of a bay window where there had been an ice dam and added underlayment. The siding on the house is pre-colored Hardie board, while doing the work two of the Hardie boards broke. They replaced the broken boards with two primed but unpainted Hardie boards . They never asked if we had more pre-colored boards in the basement. We did! I asked them to make this right by pulling off the two unpainted panels and putting in the factory painted ones - The asked for an extra 650 which seems like a lot Before the job the communication was great, lots of pictures, but they did not say Hardie board is likely to break - which would would have gotten me to point out where the spares were After the wrong boards went up they were responsive and polite but not helpful The contract that i signed said they were not responsible for painting any siding, so they were technically right but they left me on my own"

"FRS Roofing won the bid to fix the main slate roof and the 4 rubber porch roofs on my home. Chris from FRS provided the winning estimate after taking a meticulous inspection of the roofs which included identifying the number of slates needed to restore the main roof. He also explained why the rubber roofs installed by a local contractor 20 years ago had prematurely failed. The FRS work crews assigned to our project were all skilled and knowledgeable of their craft. Every crew member possessed a good demeanor and showed respect for our property. Once started, the job was completed without delay as can sometimes occur when a crew is pulled to work on another project. An unforeseen delay did occur when the chimney was being re-flashed. During the bidding process, all visible sides of the chimney appeared to be in fair shape. Once the crew could see the far side of the chimney, they discovered it was completely devoid of mortar. I was shown a photo of this miracle house of cards and immediately authorized a complete rebuild of the chimney which FRS performed at a reasonable additional cost. There were no surprises with the rubber roofs. The original fiber board underlayment which was disintegrating from water damage was replaced with a new material that is impervious to water. Also, the proper rubber was used on the edge strip to prevent it from peeling off as had happened on the old rubber roof. Overall, I am more than satisfied with the job and would not hesitate to use FRS roofing again for any property new or old!"

"Lately, our roof had been showing stain and moss all over the surface. In addition, after windy rainstorms, we were finding water stains on our interior walls and ceilings as well as various shingle pieces throughout our yard. So, along with my husband, David, I began to do research on companies that replace roofs on residential houses. As part of this process, we talked to our friend Tina Delatina Rosa who is the Quality Assurance, Marketing and Events Coordinator for Solid State Construction. This led to Tina and Rob Blanchflower, a Project Consultant for Solid State, visiting our home on January 17 to assess our needs. With absolutely no pressure but lots and lots of professionalism and competence, Tina and Rob studied our roofing structure both inside and outside, including a tough to get into and out (for former NFL tight end Rob) assessment of our attic space. In a relaxed presentation around the dining room table, Rob told us who Solid State Construction and their product supplier, GAF, are. Everything was clearly explained; from old roof removal to installation of new underlayment and ventilation systems and finally of the GAF shingle product. GAF guarantees this product for 50 years if it is installed complying with GAFâ  s strict standards and, of course, Solid State Construction is a certified GAF installer. The price was actually higher than some of the other options we looked at, but the comprehensiveness of Robâ  s presentation and the absolute pride he exuded while describing the merits of Solid State and GAF convinced David and me that this is the way to go. On Saturday, March 21, Tina along with Solid State Construction Assistant Project Manager, Nick Keegan, showed up early in the morning with eight workers. Watching these men during the day I realized just how well trained and experienced a crew Nick was overseeing. Of immediate note to me was that right from the beginning at least one worker was assigned to clean up. No having a giant heap of a mess to clean up at the end of the day when everyone is tired and wants to go home. Along the way and after removing the old roof, previously unseen problems appeared. This required replacement of rotted structural boards and cross members which Nick had his men do without looking to nickel and dime us in the process. A good-sized portion of our roof covers a family room that we added to the house years ago. It was covered with regular shingles, but Nick advised me that a far superior covering because of the pitch of the roof would be rubber. So, right there while actually carrying out the work activity, a significant change in scope was made with no increase in cost or time to complete the project. At the end of the day, with only a few minor items that were taken care of the next morning, the project was done and everything was cleaned up. The quality of the final product fully reflects the expertise and professional workmanship of Nick Keegan and his extremely hard-working project team. Two of our neighbors spent years in the construction trades and they came over to tell David this is complete quality and professional job. One, usually skeptical, said, â  Dave, when they told you to put rubber rather than regular shingles over the family room, thatâ  s when I knew these guys knew what they were doing.â  We couldnâ  t say it better. We are totally pleased and satisfied with our roof replacement provided by Solid State Construction and its product supplier GAF. We very strongly recommend them. Oh, of course, we had some questions after everybody left. No problem, David just called Nick Keegan who responded right away."
