"We needed interior painting, wall repairs, stove hood refurbishing, steel doors repair, andv staining. These painters had square feet of walls, ceilings, stairs, and trim. They submitted a detailed estimate for every room. They listed all supplies they would need. They started on the exact day they estimated. Shane and Makenzie also offered paint samples for suggestions and gave us honest recommendations when we wanted their advice. The lines where a wall meets the ceiling is crisp and clean. It is true, Painted by Shane can paint! They spent as much effort covering items as painting. Our home was spotless. Painted by Shane is very fairly priced and their work is a source of pride to them. They were very quick to communicate. It has been enjoyable to work with and meet them. We will use them again and again."

"The roof replacement was fine, but he didn't seal/paint the soffit. This caused a delay in the completion of the repairs I need to complete for an appraiser to sign off on the sale of the house, which caused a delay in the close date. Punctuality and professionalism. <br />"

"We cannot say enough good things about Atlantic Siding and its owner, Jack <br /> Malcolm. In point of fact we cannot critique one without the other. <br />   Our <br /> Certainteed siding began show troubling signs of wear just three or four years <br /> after installation. Gaps grew at the seams; slats bowed and warped; on windy <br /> days the cumulative noise of the clattering of loose boards became unnerving; <br /> and eventually slats began to fall from the house. We begrudgingly began the <br /> tedious process of seeking out an honest and reputable company to re-side our <br /> family home. <br />   For about three weeks, a succession of "salesmen" sat in our <br /> living room discussing measurements, materials, and promises.  Jack Malcolm is <br /> no salesman, but a working owner-supervisor whose word is final. He reports only <br /> to the customer and himself. <br />   When Jack walked in with his thick Jamaican <br /> accent, we slowly began to grasp that here was a man of honesty, integrity, an <br /> absolute belief in Hardy Siding,  an enthusiastic pride in his own <br /> craftsmanship, and a work-ethic seldom found on the American scene anymore.  <br /> Here was a working wisdom that we grew to  trust implicitly. And we made no <br /> mistake doing so. We struck a deal at a very reasonable price, a price to which <br /> Jack never wavered. Once the price was set, that was it. There were no hidden or <br /> revealed costs. <br />   JACK IS THE REAL DEAL. He climbs the ladders and works <br /> along those he supervises. He exercises full oversight and follows a harsh <br /> schedule, overseeing every detail of every task with the cautious eye of long <br /> experience. Jack actually cares about the finished product which he calls his <br /> true "signature" and drives his men in a pursuit of QUALITY, not quantity, and <br /> that's a very rare attitude in these days of paying top dollar for minimal <br /> effort. The men that work at Jack Malcolm's side are no apprentices, but veteran <br /> craftsmen each  trained by Jack individually over DECADES and experienced in the <br /> art of dressing a home's exterior. <br />   Over the two weeks needed to re-side <br /> our 3850 square-foot house, Jack made suggestions and offered his working <br /> experience on so many refining points. His painters  detailed our homes exterior <br /> woodwork and guttering. [ At one point he even installed a storm door over a <br /> side door to the garage. Why? To protect the woodwork and jams from the weather, <br /> a detail ignored by the original builders. I bought a door at Lowes, and one day <br /> Jack, with one of his men, installed it beautifully. ] Vents were covered with <br /> cages once he discovered a bird presence. Torn screens found experienced hands <br /> to repair them. Faux-shutters were painted and re-anchored to our front brick. <br />   In the end, our home was astonishingly beautiful and renewed, far beyond <br /> that provided by the siding alone. The care and detailing, the work ethic, the <br /> experience and taste, for a most conservative price tag, and with an overall <br /> enthusiasm and old world craftsmanship, make my wife and I want to proclaim our <br /> complete admiration for the Atlantic Siding Company. Well done and thank you so <br /> much.  <br />"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Bicknell, IN

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
