"Walking around my house this morning, I'm feeling so grateful that I found Rick to install my new wood flooring! It was a complex job, involving two levels of the house and the staircase that connects them. Rick meticulously removed each of the stair treads, re-sized them to convert from carpet to wood flooring, and replaced them beautifully. The most complicated part of the job was installing the flooring around a wooden railing which runs along the upper level "loft" and stairs, requiring MANY precise customized cuts and modifications of the flooring. "The owner came and did the estimate for the work, and then sent a experienced worker and an inexperienced worker to complete the work. The pipe was mended adequately, but then the experienced worker left the inexperienced worker to finish the sheetrock work. 
The pipe was not properly adhered to the joist, so foot traffic above the pipe caused the pipe to bang around.  The sound dampening layer was not replaced, and I had to assist the one inexperienced worker that was left behind to handle the drywall."

I did spend extra money to buy more lumber to fix a problem area (the top rail at the 90 degree turn was made as a butt joint and I wanted a mitered joint). I wound up with a lot of extra wood.
