"Built to Last Construction was recommended to me by a friend who had them remodel her kitchen. First I hired them to paint a steep stairway to the upstairs, along with the upstairs landing (built their own scaffolding) and install railings. Their work was very professional and I can't belief how good it looks! Next I had them completely remodeled the bathroom in coordination with a plumber and electrician. Tom and his wife Ann went shopping with me for bathroom fixtures but because the bathroom is so small nothing seemed like it was going to work out. Tom actually ended up building a linen cabinet, sink base and medicine cabinet with a lighted mirror to fit. The quality of the wood and workmanship is outstanding! I am also hiring them for other projects. They are always very thorough and kept me informed on all aspects of the projects. I recommended them to a friend who has had a hard time finding someone to update her deck. She will not be disappointed."

NorthStarr Owner, Marty Johnson helped us think through whether to replace with a composite material, or sand and refinish existing deck. Ultimately, he recommended replacement of existing surface with a newly introduced product - a cedar-toned treated yellow pine that looks beautiful and fit best within our budget. NorthStarr also stripped and refinished a bench/trellis section of the existing deck to match the new deck material. I appreciated that Marty was a very responsive communicator all through the project and worked with us to address some glitches that inevitably come with a large project like this. In my estimation, the measure of a good company not only regards their workmanship, quality and responsive communications but how they resolve issues.
