Shawn and his team demolished our existing, shifting and cracked front steps / stoop and replaced it with a beautiful, perfectly designed new steps / stoop. The new stoop looks as if it was designed and integrated to the house when it was built in 1930. It's perfect and exactly what we wanted. We are getting compliments from neighbors, and even the concrete truck driver! Communication and bid were professional and excellent. Shawn owns the business and is in charge of the job site from start to finish. No subs --- all a family team. The cost of the job was extremely fair given the extent of the work we needed done. Crew worked hard so that each step was completed with perfect timing. Job took two days to complete: one to demolish, haul, set forms, rebar; the next to pour and finish. Both days they arrived on time, worked very hard, cleaned up at the end of each day as if they had not been here. Super nice people who know what they are doing. "Gardner construction returned my call the day after I requested a quote here. By the end of the week, they came out to discuss what needed completed and provided a quote. The initial quote was for a stamped concrete patio that was 28x11 ft. Everything about the job was discussed on include correcting some drain tile that came down from the eaves. The initial job was quoted as 308sqft. and was around $6,500. I confirmed this over email and inquired about a confirmed drawing and official written quote. The foreman called me on Monday a week after providing quote and said it would be better to come "stake it out" so he came that evening and said they wanted to start work the next day. He drew out the boundary lines we discussed and didn't mention changes to the cost. I had to scramble that evening to rip up my irrigation solenoid box and hosing so that it would not be in the middle of the patio when they poured. The next day they began work and after they had all the forms built, he emailed me that evening telling me the size was 465sqft and that the cost would be about 150% of our original quote at $9400. I didnt feel that there was much recourse at this point and confirmed the square footage myself prior to agreeing to changing. Ultimately, the patio looks great and turned out as desired, however I would have gotten a few other quotes had I known the final landed cost. Next job I have done will get everything in writing with a design prior to being hired."

"With JLP Unlimited, Jared is the one who dealt with us start to the end. He was very professional when he came to our house to give us a bid. He seemed well experienced to let us know the process and turn around time. We weren't planning on doing ceiling but he convinced us to repaint and I am so glad that he did! The rooms are so much brighter and I was shocked the color difference of before and after!  He was on-time and clean up was spotless and I was very impressed because you hear so many horror stories about that. I loved our finished project!! I love my new trim works in all the rooms and doors. He even helped us picking out a color using a designer! I am very particular and picky so I almost expect problems when I hire contractors. I really didn't find anything when he did a walk through with us when it was completed. I mentioned a small thing and he took care of it right away. Again, I'm very particular but I would recommend Jared to any of my family and friends with no hesitation. I will be contacting Jared again to finish all my trims in the rest of the house when we are ready. Thank you Jared!"
