"The result is amazing ! I was getting ready to hire a painter and already purchased the paints . The gutters look brand new , the rest of the house looks like freshly painted . I did not expect the deck to look as good as it does . I wish I would have found these guys much sooner ."

"My husband and I are new homeowners and were looking to have the interior of our home painted. After doing research and reading reviews my husband decided to go with The Paint Guys. Let’s just say the reviews spoke the ultimate truth. They were here at 8am Sharp just like he said they would be, the professionalism and respect for our home was above and beyond, and the job is immaculate! They cleaned up so well you could not even tell they were here! We absolutely recommend The Paint Guys if you are looking to have anything painted, we are overjoyed with our freshly painted home. Thanks Paint Guys!"

"We used Tallents to build a porch on our home cost of addition over 22000.00 we have several problems to address problem   1 professionalism and time to complete work: We ask for time to complete Neil told us a couple of weeks at the end it took 4 to 5 months his people would show up and not work go home not come in when we were told they would. We started to paint the porch around them because of the time taken.    <br /> Problem 2 Quality of work. We after painting found sloppy work in hard to see spots on the roof area gaps in joints more than 2 inches in some spots some screws missing nails also. <br /> Problem 3 quote of Job we had a written quote for the scope of the work up front told them about the large hand rails heavy wood that we wanted the spot over the porch at the back door we were told that it would look just like the before addition ect.During the repair we ask would it cost to do add plywood to the chimney are at this time we were told no charge because it was costing less to do the porch. At the final bill it was 1500.00 more ask why Neil told the chimney was extra the porch are over the back door extra large   hand rails extra.... I as why told him about quote and chimney talk and he told me we would have to pay.. <br /> On a side note we used trex wood on some of the outside steps we had some let over on the last day they were here 3 carpenters made a saw horse out of my left over wood and loaded it up in there truck with a couple of large sticks of treated wood. I paid for all the supplies by c/c total 12800.00 to Manier Building supply. <br /> In business you live by your word I know I have one and have run it 20 years.. If they are the best would hate to see the worst. <br />"

"Called in mid-April for estimate, Mr. Cook arrived on 4/18/14 and we decided in the next three weeks to go with Williams' after comparisons were made.  Mr. Cook came back out to house and finalized exactly what we wanted, assisting in the decision of shingle choice and color.  If there was any hiccough in the whole hiring, etc, it was that we were left a message by the roofers on the day before, that they would be arriving the next morning.  We never heard the message, and this turned out to be our own answering machine dilemma, but it would have been easier going if, after Mr. Cook had finalized with us, the office would have called to warn us of a start-up date, so that removal of deck furniture, etc could have already been completed.  It all worked out as roofers called from our locked gate @ 6AM on 05/20/14 (shock!) that they had arrived and then helped get everything straight for working. Luckily we were there.  A suggestion would be that the actual subs are given a home number AND any cell numbers as well to avoid this. This is what we did to avoid repeating with other subs. <br /> The roofing team of Larry's was almost mechanical, a well-oiled machine, and it was easy to see as the day progressed how they were able to complete our large house so quickly and efficiently.  it was obvious that they had worked well together for a while as they seemed to know step by step who would be doing what and when.  I never saw anyone slacking or empty-handed.  If they went down the yard with shingles, they came back with trash for the trailer.  They maintained my yard and decks very well, without any damage, using huge tarps when necessary.  One worker walked around in between tasks picking up errant tacks, that missed the tarps, which I appreciated. I continue to pick up some of these as I would have guessed with this large of a project, many that have since fallen from shrubbery. That is/was not a problem and expected.  I did have concerns about cigarette butts and flaming cigarettes thrown from the top of the roof.  I didn't begrudge a guy working on my roof a cig, but out here with only volunteer fire protection, it could become a little more serious.  Unknown to them, I did pour water in one of my bushes that I noticed continued to "smoke" after a butt flew down.  It was okay and I handled it, just a point to think about sometimes. The roofers worked non-stop; I never even saw them stop for lunch.  They would snack with one hand, or grab a drink and continue with the job.  They were all very courteous and easy to talk with. <br /> The couple that worked on our chimney stone did an outstanding job.  The stone matched well and the concrete has even dried so that it is difficult to tell which is old and new stone.  True stone artists.  They were very pleasant as well.  No difficulties at all. <br /> The gutters at the front entrance look outstanding, matching the metal valley pieces well, making it all look thought out and professional.  The plastic drain pipe and drain tray provided looked somewhat out of place with the stone on the front of the house. This was subsequently easily replaced by pieces of leftover stone from the chimney, making it again appear as one seamless idea.  We also found a flat drain extension to run behind the shrubs, extending from the downspout that helps with blending in.  Mr. Cook even took pictures of this to work into future projects. <br /> All in all, this was much less of an ordeal than we had imagined.  I would not hesitate to recommend these particular teams from Williams' to my friends. <br />"

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Blythe, GA

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
