"Coordinating for the project was very smooth. We had a number of changes due to the weather and our schedules, every request for change was easily coordinated. The price quoted was very reasonable. Once the project started the team was very timely, professional knowing what was required .... Based on other contractors we have dealt with in the Columbia area for paining over 10 tens years we will solely go with Sanchez Paint from here on out, which we have some interior rooms to be painted. Give this company a try and I'm sure you will be pleased"

Small jobs welcome

"Donin and Dorian did a wonderful painting job! Everything--floors, carpets, furniture, etc.--was covered completely during the process, and the finished product was lovely. One would never know that there had ever been damage to the ceilings from Hurricane Florence. DLA Painting is the best. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"Ben helped me with my front door. Every year it needs to be repainted since it faces the sun. He was ale to strip the paint, put new enamel primer and paint on it. He has also did some work in my home with pressure washing on my patio. He did the best job I have ever seen done. He took time to cover my patio ceiling fan. He is very deliberate in what he does doesnt waste any time. I am very pleased and looking forward getting more work done with him in the future."

"Anthony repaired and installed doors and drawers and hardware on our kitchen cabinets as well as built shelving and affixed doors to our bathroom vanity. Stays on task and doesn’t mutter under his breath about the challenges he’s facing but rather comes up with solutions. Good worker, good person. (No photo’s as we still need to paint and stain.)"

"They didn't have the specialties required for this project. They said they could take down the door and place it on the lawn to work on. Then they would sand the door by hand and then paint with an rust preventative and then with the White paint. None of the suggestions would work. We required SodaBlasting to remove the old paint. Then Powder coat with White coating."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Columbia, SC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
