A few trees were within the wetland buffer zone, so John wrote an excellent, detailed letter to our Conservation Commission to get approval for the removal. I had to be out of town the day they were scheduled to take down the 13 tall pines near our house, and I was worried about not being there to deal with issues, but John assured me all would be well. He called me that morning before they started the job, called me during the job to discuss taking down one more tree that hadn't been tagged initially, and confirmed when the work was done. I expected some damage to the lawn or driveway, but when I got home the only evidence that the crews had been there was the missing trees. I've used two other tree services over the past 20 years, and Marquis wins. They have the right equipment for the biggest jobs, the office staff is responsive, the crews work carefully and efficiently, the owner knows his stuff (he holds degrees in forestry and is a certified arborist), and (surprisingly) their price was competitive. I'd trust them with the biggest/trickiest jobs."

"Joel Bonenfant and crew took down a tree that was 50-60 feet tall in my small back yard. It was a big job and they had no trouble at all. The tree was down in an hour. They had the tree cut up and limbed in another hour. I was very satisfied with the work they did. They were very professional, safe, and timely in getting the job done. One tree was not accessible using bucket truck. Amazed at skill and concentration of person who climbs into tree to access and saws off the limb/branches. "The truck was here on time as scheduled. He would not dump the mulch in the yard because they company had a problem with their truck sinking into a leeching field. I told him that our field was out back but he said he couldn't put it anywhere except in the driveway, which I understood. It just made it a bit more difficult for me to carry it over to where I needed it. Other than that the product was excellent and it lasted at least three years before I needed to replace it. I would definitely use their products again."
