"Everything went well. Spoke with Gabriel on May 6th. He had Mike come out on May 7th after and emergency plumbing job. Mike gave me the estimate and told me what could be done but he would have to come back either later that day or the next day because he didn't have what he needed at the time. Mike called me back the same day and said that he couldn't make it back and would it be ok for him to come the next morning. I said sure, just call me after 10 am. Gabriel kept me updated with when and who was coming to the house because Lucas came the next day. He finished the job within 2 hours. The guys were very professional and courteous. I would hire them again if needed. Awesome job!!"

"Great job, from start to finish. Tim, our consultant, was very helpful... never pushy, but offered many suggestions/ideas. Scott, our installer, seemed to work nonstop on the projects, tearing down enclosure to the base, and rebuilding step by step. Scott was efficient, using tarps and covers on nearby shelves, and cleaned up when work was done. Each project took 2 days."

"They were clean, and the head guy came out to do the estimates. There were 2 or 3 workers, and when I get done tiling the floor, they will come back in to put in the vanity and stuff."

"I contacted Signature pools while I was on deployment to come clean and balance my pool as well as order and install a new pool filter.  They did a great job on everything!  The company was punctual and professional.  They switched out my old filter for the new one and my pool has been functioning properly ever since. <br />"

"My wife and I had been contemplating on a bathroom remodel for quite some time; however, my wife has issues with making decisions that involve substantial amounts of money, aka, pulling the trigger. Thus, I do not have that problem. Me and my wife had two bids for my bathroom remodel. Needless to say, the first bid did not get the job (A well-known bathroom remodel contractor). The second bid did (Brytons). Plus, I went with a well-known contractor because if the job was not performed to my standards, there would be repercussions. The bids were nearly identical, but Connie (Brytons' representative), put me over the edge. She spent several hours explaining everything, and showing us various samples. Plus, I could tell she enjoys her job. And as for the installer/carpenter/plumber, Brad, he was exemplary. I do not believe Brytons could have found a better person to showcase their company’s vision, as to what a customer desires. And on top of that, he was professional and courteous the whole time he was here. As a matter of fact, he treated my house as if he lived here, too. To tell you the truth, my bathroom looks like it just came from Brytons' showroom. This is a good thing."

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Boomer, NC

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
