"They did a good job from the estimate on to the poured asphalt. I have prior experience with asphalt crews and these guys were the best."

"After reviewing our situation CFS recommended we contact a brick mason to rebuild the support columns.  His conclusion was that it would not be a good investment to utilize their services for the repair I needed.  He also surveyed our fireplace and attached porch and noted potential areas to keep and eye on. <br /> No pressure at all to contract for services, he was very knowledgeable and professional.  He provided good background information for us to understand what had caused the problems (ground settling) and how to monitor for future changes. <br /> While we did not contract with CFS I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them in the future. <br />"

"He was so professional. He came out to see me on Thursday afternoon when I called him that morning. the very next morning her was here to do the work. All other companies were telling me it would take weeks and they would have to hall dirt in. I was so amased watching him make a perfect level round area without having to bring in more dirt. He did not hurt any other grass in the yard either. It was a perfect circle right were the pool was going. Thank you sooo much Mr Andy Great Job!!! <br />"

"I did have other estimates prepared. They fell in between. The gentleman I worked with was extremely knowledgeable (Chris Maynard). A-1 from start to finish. The room is beautiful it is now the best room in the house. I wish the rest of the house had that much attention to detail devoted to it. I would hire again in a heartbeat."

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Boone, NC

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
