"Type of work above is misleading but I had to choose one of them. Ben and Tim came on short notice in bad weather to install a kitchen sink faucet, disposal and air button, replace cabinet trim and troubleshoot faulty vent hood flapper. They were very prompt, professional and great guys to boot! Water leak tested and no leaks observed. Left the kitchen spotless. B&N is now my go to source for all handyman needs "

"They did an excellent job! They ended up painting our whole house including some ceilings. There was paint designs they had to cover up and you can’t even tell anything was ever there. They had to fix holes in the wall, etc. they did so well that we asked them to remodel a room for us. They combined two rooms into one and it looks awesome! I keep sending them requests for other things I’d like done!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Boone, NC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
