"Travis and his team did a wonderful job at completing our front yard landscaping vision. They worked with us to come up with a plan that fit our esthetic and budget. They weren’t pushy or upsellers like some of the companies I had previously interviewed. They were knowledgeable about which types of plants to use where and why, they were punctual and completed the job in a very timely manner, they were professional and left the site clean and tidy each day, and they even did little things to go above and beyond (brought our trash cans out on trash day without being asked, refilled our dog’s water when it was low, etc.). He asked us questions to keep us involved and ensure we were getting what we wanted, but balanced that out well with professional suggestions and expertise. He was as punctual as any contractor I've ever dealt with, which was refreshing. It seemed important to JC Landworks to FINISH the job as quickly as they could after STARTING it, which helped us feel like valued customers, even though, I imagine, our project wasn't one of his highest-end. Drainage was a huge concern of mine given our hemmed-in backyard, but JC's crew used their laser levels to survey the grade and drainage is spot on. The results were fantastic and we've already recommended him to a friend of ours for their patio project."

"Excellent job. Crew removed all landscaping, plugged all sprinkler pipes or removed that were no longer used and poured new driveway. Also replaced and upgraded my water main pipe for reasonable price. Crew was very professional and project came out great."

"Tuscany used a sub-contractor, though we were told they would not. Workers arrived very early in the morning and began concrete demolition. Crew wore no hearing, eye, or ear protection while using concrete saws. They also failed to control dust from cutting. These are violations of OSHA regulations and Air Quality regulations. It also shows callous disregard for the health of employees, client, and neighbors. Old concrete can have asbestos in it, as well as other harmful materials that should not be breathed. Crew initially failed to build area to printed specifications. Only after I pointed out that the area built was too small did they reluctantly add the missing area. This required to removal of a below-ground rock, but because they did not want to pay to have the jackhammer brought back, they broke the rock by hand with hammer and chisel. Unprofessional and poor workmanship. Finished area looks nice but doe not drain as specified, leaving puddles on the paver area.  <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br>"

"We are looking to replace our large front lawn with  water-wise landscaping, with the objective of qualifying for the water district rebate which is available for replacing turf with low water use plants, and with the further objective of hoping to lessen our water usage.  After reading reviews on Angie's List we called Kirk and set up an appointment for him to come to our home.  He arrived at our home at the appointed time.  We explained to him our objectives and he listened attentively to our needs and limitations.  He thoroughly surveyed the area and took measurements before leaving.  We gave him the guidelines and plant list from the water authority.  He said that he would send us pictures of some of the plants he chose from the list so that  we could indicate any that we did not like.  The next week we received the labeled colored pictures of the plants and we indicated the ones we did not care for.  He was very accommodating and willing to be sure we were completely satisfied with the plant selection. <br />  Yesterday he met with us with the completed design plan.  He had done a very nice job and we were  pleased.  The plans (three copies) were complete with names of plants, number of plants, and pictures of each plant in color.  He carefully  explained to us his use of each plant and how it fits into the total design.  Kirk prompted us to ask any questions we might have and was very open to any concerns we had.  We are very happy that he has kept in mind the limited budget we have for installation and plants, and created a design not elaborate but attractive using plants of varying textures and sizes which complement each other. <br /> Kirk is very easy to work with and attentive to the desires and needs of the client. <br />"

"Jose from Exterior Designs in attentive, helpful and truly interested in ensuring we are a satisfied customer. Jose and his crew installed pavers, flagstone, concrete, lawn, DG, irrigation and a fence in our property. They were well priced and able to accommodate changes as the project progressed; let's be honest its always one thing on paper compared to seeing the install in real life. They were also great from a follow up perspective and accommodating when it came to making tweaks after completion of the project while we learned more about the upkeep necessary to maintain the new space. As with any major project, stay close to the project, check in on the details and make sure they know what you are looking for."

"What a fantastic experience all around! Before calling CJ for an estimate, I did my homework on the company and brushed up on what I needed to know about synthetic putting greens. I learned about all the possible pitfalls from poor installation to issues with melting; however, CJ’s website and the testimonials from past clients reflected a company that prides itself on quality and professionalism combined with responsible installation. When CJ arrived for an estimate, I was immediately impressed with his vast knowledge of the complexities of synthetic lawns…especially putting greens. He focused on details such as the lay of the grass for both chipping and putting, the optimum cup placement to maximize the space we had, and creating the best topography for the desired break on each individual hole. He also provided many hardscape options for the patio and small planter we wanted to install. He noted the windows closest to the greens and was concerned about possible melting due to window reflection. Fortunately, he has experience in working with several solutions, and the best solution was also the easiest and least expensive—installing full screens on all the windows in question (Torpin Screen Company). Expecting a hefty estimate based on this level of expertise and attention to detail, we were surprised with his fair and competitive quote. We continued to be impressed as the work began. CJ’s employees were professional, respectful, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. We were especially impressed with how clean and organized they left the area at the end of each work day. They obviously took pride in their work and often went above and beyond what they were expected to do. Several times, CJ himself came to check in on the project to ensure that our needs were being met. Most impressively, the work was completed in fewer days than estimated. The end product? Absolutely stunning! I feel like I’m at a vacation resort every time I step into my back yard. The pavers are lovely, the garden wall is perfect, and the putting green runs the entire length of our yard (happy hubby!). We are so pleased with the process and the final product that we’re hoping to have him do the front yard next summer."
