New ceiling had to be attached to an existing 2 x 2 coffered concrete ceiling structure. Scott provided many options in terms of pricing, quality and acoustic properties. "I was very impressed with Ryanâ s work. He showed up when he said he was going to, completed the job way above my satisfaction, and he even came back to replace a ceiling tile that had been damaged by the electrician. The price was very fair and I could not be happier with the quality of work. Before I found Ryan I had scheduled appointments with 7 contractors. 6 of them either canceled or were no shows. They wore stocking feet to go up and down my stairs and move around the second floor as they plastered my stairway ceiling - so quiet my dog barely noticed they were here. "I really cannot say enough good things about our experience with Kinsella! For starters, we had gone through NINETEEN other contractors before we found Kinsella. Many said the job was too big or too small, but a half dozen of them said they could/would do the job, and then totally ghosted during the quoting process. In hindsight, I am so glad that they did so that we could end up with Kinsella. The whole Kinsella team was so kind, professional, punctual every day, did PHENOMENAL work, and always took the time to answer any questions we had and explain to us in detail what was going on in the project. They even provided some guidance for us for other changes we plan to make to our home in the future. For our project, they removed a load bearing wall and installed a 22' beam, removed/moved/replaced electrical according to the removed wall, removed the old electrical baseboard heaters in the home, added recessed lighting, and installed a center kitchen island with electrical hook ups. (Please note, per our choice, the scope of our project did not include paint, flooring, or island countertop installation. That's why the photos I attached have the space still "unfinished"). The work they did was so perfect, it looks like there was never a wall there. The way they explained the structural changes and even pointed out (and corrected!) some issues with the original build of our home made us so confident in the work they were doing. Even the inspectors were very complimentary. Our contractor communicated excellently through every step. The owner of the group was in constant contact. From day 1, they made it so clear how much they cared and how seriously they took the job. I really can't say enough good things about them."

"Pedro was very easy to work with. Background: We had a french drain and drainage installed due to flooding. Prior to that work, the basement was already finished, but this work required us to need a new floor and baseboards. We had tile down and wanted to put an laminate down. After talking with Pedro prior to any work being done (during the consult), it was decided to see if it was better to level the floor to the remaining tile or jack hammering all the remaining tile up. We had an idea of the product we wanted, and he was able to recommend a different version of the product that was better that we were not aware existed. Our basement baseboards were tricky. We were told to use PVC wood, but Pedro recommended against it since it was an enclosed space that we would be using and that is known to release toxins. Once work started: Pedro and the men were such hard workers. The time they arrived in the morning could vary depending on if they went to Home Depot first. The time they left depended on how much they wanted to complete before they left. Every night they cleaned up (and this was a space we weren't using at all.) Each day I got an update on the status. While laying the floor, Pedro had to work around drains in the floor. With the french drain, we had this plastic wall trim to have water drain into from the wall. It was very ugly and couldn't be kept as is since part of the tile behind it was destroyed. Pedro worked with me to create a nice looking baseboard with a gap to allow for the water to drain into the french drain. We also decided last minute to make a small cellar room (with stone foundation walls) into a real room with insulation and walls! They were able to get that done as well and it looks amazing. (I didn't rate price, because I didn't comparison shop. I had originally contacted Pedro and got a quote. Then ended up contacting him to find out when he could do it and was told the following week. I wanted the basement job finished before I went back to work so didn't bother to comparison shop.)"

"When we started looking for a contractor on Angie's List, we were skeptical that we could find someone who could do three things: being within our budget, easy to communicate with and making sure that the final product was of high quality. We had a big project (renovating two bathrooms, renovating a kitchen, taking down a wall, removing wood paneling from multiple rooms, remodeling our basement, including removing asbestos tile from the whole basement, whole house interior painting, remodeling the laundry room, installing new light fixtures everywhere, etc) and Sanfer ended up being the perfect contractor for us. He was so easy to get in touch with and he did a great job keeping us updated on the project as it was coming along (we weren't living there at the time). While the project ended up going over the original budget we set, we also added multiple projects along the way that Sanfer was able to accomplish. The other thing we truly appreciated is that Sanfer has a true eye for quality and was able to ensure everything was exactly to our standards -- the tiling, the painting, even the installation of our new doorknobs. He even brought certain things up to us to help make the home more secure and prevent future damage (putting up stronger supports under our deck, fixing the flashing around the chimney) that he didn't need to do. When a few things needed to be fixed after the renovations were complete, he wasted no time in sending someone out to do the repair. Sanfer was so nice, honest, and enjoyable to work with, things we were not expecting to find in our general contractor but which made the whole renovation experience that much more positive. We would absolutely recommend him and his crew to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy contractor who will do a high-quality job for a fairly reasonable price."

"I hired Alexis Home Remodeling to replace a collapsed bay window with a simpler grid window, rebuild the surrounding wall, and replace a storm door. Edian also replaced the area's small ceiling at the last minute, which was not part of the original contract, and then put a first coat of primer on it for me as a courtesy, even though painting is usually not one of his services. Edian was very accommodating to me throughout, including taking care of my request for a change in the type of replacement window to be installed. He and his crew spent two days on the reconstruction and new window installation, and did a beautiful, professional job. It is a pleasure to see the results. The next time I need a contractor, I will call on them again."
