"My wife and I wanted to change out 20 year old white tile kitchen countertops and backsplash. We read reviews from Angie’s List and other sites for various sites. AA Marble & Grant had top-notch reviews and we decided to check them out. They did an excellent job with providing their showroom with numerous granite, marble and quartz slabs. Phillip was very helpful, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We provided rough diagrams and measurements in advance using their PDF file. We ended up selecting a granite top from Brazil and were very pleased in the color and stone quality. The pricing for material and installation was fair and reasonable. The contract agreement was a bit lengthy, but manageable and we paid a deposit of 1/2 the cost. AA scheduled a person to come by the house and perform measurements for the countertops and cutouts for sink and cooktop. We also were changing the kitchen island top and a butler section top. We had our white tile backsplash removed a couple of days before the templates were measure. After the template measurements were made we went back to AA to look at the slab with template pieces to see how it would look. Once settled on cutout templates, we scheduled an installation date. It took a couple of weeks to get an install date with the Thanksgiving Holiday coming up. Phillip at AA did a good job of calling with reminders before the install date. The installers were in time for the date and schedule given. They did an excellent job installing the granite tops and smoothing and blending the seam where two large pieces came together. We got an under mount sink which was cut in advance. The faucet and soap dispenser holes were cut on site. The gas cooktop section was cut on site. Nice job in measuring, cutting, smoothing out edges. A couple of minor nicks were made on Sheetrock while installing in a very tight spot. (These were spackled and repainted within a couple of days). We are very pleased with AA Marble & Grant from beginning to end. The granite countertops are beautiful. We hired Mauricio Campos recommended by AA to do prep work on disconnecting the cooktop and sink plumbing and reconnect after the countertops were installed. Campos also installed the new backsplash tile and did outstanding work. I highly recommend AA Marble & Grant for quality countertops."

"We had serious flooding in our office building which required most of the drywall and floorboards to be redone. The job was pretty big (roughly two weeks of work). We had 4 different contractors come out to give us a quote and no one was more knowledgeable about the job than Jose (from J&S). I could tell from our first appointment that he was the man for the job and I am so glad that we went with him. He took care of everything we needed to get fixed PLUS some more. Jose took on a few minor projects that were not in the original scope of work but he did it anyways and he did it really well. Jose, you are the man. Thank you for taking care of us!"

"First and foremost they were very patient with my indecisiveness regarding colors, styles, etc. (white subway tile, light color granite, glass tiles, dark granite) tough to decide. They gave us samples, we went to their facility to actually look at the various slabs, and were completely open and helpful throughout the decision making process. They were willing to work with our schedules and were very flexible. Their knowledge of the process was very reassuring also. They had to demo our old backsplash (removing drywall too). They cleaned up as they worked and left our kitchen in excellent condition when they were finished. We highly recommend A Polished Finish to others seeking an update or remodel. They also installed a new granite counter top in our bathroom. <br />"

"Britt's was hired to put in new laminate wood flooring throughout the entire downstairs and new carpeting throughout the upstairs of our house.  Our sales person was excellent as she helped us through the decision / selection process based on quality and cost.  The installers were great.  They explained exactly what they were going to do and how long it would take.  Their attention to detail was outstanding.  The flooring project specifically was not an easy job as we had several types of flooring previously in use that had to be removed. Very pleased with their service and would use them again. <br />"

"The owner, Dan, and Nicole were wonderful and very helpful.  The pricing was extremely reasonable compared to others we priced out and the product is gorgeous.  We do not have the wood actually installed as of yet because we are in the process of redoing our kitchen.  The only issue we had was the offload policy. <br /> <br /> Since Brazilian Direct is a wholesaler we were responsible for offloading the wood ourselves and had to be done in one hour.  We had 68 boxes each weighing approximately 100 lbs.  Because of the weight concerns, we had scheduled delivery so that we could have our installer available to do the offload and move it into our house.  Due to a miscommunication the wood was delivered two weeks early.  Nicole worked with us to find an appropriate solution since we had not signed with an installer as of then.  Because the miscommunication was on their end, they arranged and paid to have movers accept the shipment and then offload the wood into our house.    It worked out wonderfully. <br /> <br /> My one caution to homeowners is that offloading this amount of wood is extremely difficult.  We had three young (20s), very strong gentlemen that are home movers by trade.  About 2/3 of the way through, one of the gentlemen's arms gave out and he sank to his knees so that he did not drop the box.  The men were exhausted by the end and admitted that they had never anticipated how difficult the task would be.  If you are doing an entire house or an entire floor, I would recommend scheduling delivery when your installer is available with their workforce to do the offload and move it into your home or to have 2 able men available per 1000 - 1500 lbs of wood.   It also took them 2 hours to move all of that wood."

"<br /> NOTE: This review has been edited. Our original review for Tile Creations Big Deal bathroom renovation stated that I was satisfied with their work and that they did a good job. Our original complaint focused on difficulties in communication, and Tile Creations' refusal to honor the second of two Big Deals that we had purchased. <br /> <br /> A professional who came to give an estimate on that second Big Deal project pointed out some major workmanship issues that that we had not originally identified. We have sent photographs and descriptions of the problems found to Tile Creations and we have changed our review to reflect these problems. <br /> <br /> The major problems identified include: <br /> <br /> Floor tile was installed directly onto the uneven, cracked concrete base that remained after the old tile was removed. Concrete backer board was not installed as promised in the Big Deal and the statement of work provided by Tile Creations prior to beginning work. The resulting tiles are unevenly spaced, not flush with each other, and not level. <br /> <br /> Two different colors of grout were used in the tub surround. Most of the grout was a light gray color; the grout along the tub was a darker reddish color. The darker color draws attention to the uneven grout lines where some new tiles had to be replaced in the course of installation. <br /> <br /> The grout used in the project was very crumbly and rough, and is flaking off in some places. It was not smoothed, cleaned, or sealed as specified in the Big Deal. <br /> <br /> The baseboards and shoe molding still show some raw wood where they were not completely painted.  There are noticeable gaps between the wood and the floor. The finish work is sloppy. <br /> <br /> Although we specified oil rubbed bronze for the plumbing fixtures and accessories, the tub drain plug and overflow cover are shiny chrome. <br /> <br /> As our desired resolution, we are asking that the work be completed as described in the Big Deal that we purchased and in the written statement of work from Tile Creations. <br /> <br />     Tiles should be evenly spaced, flush with each other, and level. <br />     Grout should be all the same color, smoothed, cleaned, and sealed. <br />     Baseboards and shoe molding should be neatly finished and completely painted. <br />     Fixtures should all be the specified color - oil rubbed bronze. <br /> <br /> If they will not complete the job as spelled out in the Big Deal and their statement of work, we'd like a refund so we can get someone else to fix these problems."

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured.
