"I am amazed at the difference the insulation has made. Last summer, when I kept the thermostat at 74, the air upstairs always felt heavy, but it was freezing downstairs, and the A/C was cycling with only brief interruptions. Since the work was done at my house 2 weeks ago, I have been able to do without A/C most days. A temperature of 75 upstairs without A/C is now more comfortable than a lower temperature with A/C last year. When I did turn on my A/C last weekend, I was surprised that it would kick in only every 25-30 minutes or so. While the lower level was slightly cooler than upstairs, it was still very comfortable -- on both levels. My only regret is that I did not call on Complete Home Solutions earlier. I have cantilevered second story floors and poor insulation was causing a duct vent to develop condensation with this 2024 heat wave which caused moisture to drip down inside of my first floor ceiling. Dan fixed the insulation issue and then some. He inspected the house and advised improving the insulation around a room that sits above our garage that was notoriously difficult to temperature control. "My house is a little wacky and the proposal was to include all of the crawl space and ceiling surface area. Sadly there was no way to know that a portion of both were inaccessible to insulate. Was hoping to fix issues with freezing pipes by insulating but that is the part they could not access. The scheduling and some staff on the phone is a little dry on the phone. The crew who came to do the job worked their butt off and were super nice. CJ, who drew our proposal, was very nice and knowledgeable. He warned me that his estimation might be a little off but the estimation of the Pepco energy saving percentage back ended up being way off after the energy audit. That made the job much more costly than predicted and I had not planned for that. He was willing to adjust the bill slightly but not significantly enough to really make a difference. Overall, it is going to make a huge difference in the comfort in the house and the crew was very professional."
