Even the estimator admitted he didn't explore what he needed to, and that he did not know the local codes. Worse, they did not show integrity when a problem arose with work they had done previously. "Fantastic experience. He was on time for our Saturday appointment and was courteous and professional. He examined the areas of concern, explained what the problems were after some investigating, how he would fix them and resolved both of these issues for me within an hour of stepping foot in my home. It turned out that there was a problem with two light fixtures, the type of bulbs I had been using in another set of fixtures and a connection issue with some wiring in my kitchen. There was no "hard-sell" for additional work, labor or merchandise. "The Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable."

I had used them to get my Tesla charger in 2018 (Cost: $799 including material). I was so impressed with their work that when I had a complex electrical job - installing a new 120v outlet requiring a new wire from the circuit breaker - I did not get any quotes but just booked them. That job was done very professionally as well (Cost: $949). Fast forward to Mar 2025, my tesla charger had problems with over heating and intermittent power loss. I called Murphy Family Electric and they sent a technician the same day who came and adjusted/cleaned the connections and spent 30 mins fixing the problem. And to my surprise the company did not even charge me anything for this. So on top of everything else you can add absolutely fantastic customer service to their list of attributes."

"This work started last summer and still looks terrible. They said the lawn needed to be completely replaces and the area thatched, aerated, and reseeded. They killed all the grass and mounded the thatch around the edges of the yard. When the grass didn't grow there, they came back and spread a little seed which also did not grow. This spring the yard still looked terrible with the thick thatch around the edges. Although we have complained many times since early spring, they claimed it was too cold to plant grass until May. They still have not corrected the mess they made and our lawn looks terrible."
