"I would highly recommend Manny and his team to anyone in need of roofing services!! Manny was great at communicating about the project and making suggestions. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently and left everything clean. The quality of their work was excellent! Another family member had used Manny in the past and was also extremely happy with their new roof!"

"I had roof damage from heavy snow and ice. All Complete Construction responded quickly and provided a fair estimate right away and showed up on the scheduled day to install new roof on time. They installed roof while I was traveling. When I returned except for the new roof there was no trace that they had been there. Old damaged gutters were taken away, the work was neat and professional. We will definitely consider this company for future jobs."

"I first went to their store front to pick out the door, but apparently you're supposed to call them to you for an appointment. My door was ordered from the catalog and so I waited a few weeks while it was made to order. Luckily I had a coupon for money-off and we negotiated $100 off what was the expected price. The amount of work that it took to install the door and frame was amazing. The original wood was all rotted. I had a small issue with how a piece of wood extended from the door jamb, but Michael came out himself to look at it and we decided that it served its' purpose. They don't just cut you off after the work is completed. Oh, and Michael is a joy to work with, no rudeness or inappropriate questions at the appointment like many others these days. I'll use them again.

"Dave, the owner, is very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. After showing him the ceiling damage, he went up top on the roof, investigated and promptly diagnosed that there were several issues with the vent pipe, placement of shingles and flashing. He set up a date to come back and did all of the repairs himself very efficiently and cleaned up beautifully. I felt the price was justified considering all the work involved and our rooms have been bone dry since his careful work. Dave's office staff was also top notch. Couldn't be happier with the results. I recommend Sky Tech Construction highly and would gladly use them again in the future for roofing or any construction job."

"Hired last year, roof was fine until snow collected on roof and began to melt and it was then it leaked into the house. I called and they responded which was good, they sent people to the house and hopefully repaired the leak but now I have to fix the water damage(to sheetrock) myself for the second time."

"Bob Laurendi and his Vandelay Roofing team are an absolute pleasure to deal with.  They were very responsive to my inquiry regarding my roofing needs, coming over and inspecting the existing roof within three (3) days of my first telephone call.  At that time, Bob explained the various options I should consider in installing a new (flat) roofing system, including cost variances and environmental considerations.  When I made my decision regarding the system I wanted, Bob told me he would have a formal quote to me within the week.
Less than a week later, Bob sent over his proposal and simple contract; I made one or two revisions to the specifications, which he readily accepted, and we scheduled the work for two or three weeks later.  Right on time, he and his crew called and advised me of their intent to start work the following day.  They worked over two (2) days, removing the old roofing system, repairing the wood sheathing where necessary, and installing the new TPO roofing system I had decided upon.  They worked quickly, efficiently, and cleanly, photographing every aspect of their work for my review.
I heartily recommend Vandelay Roofing to anyone seeking the best professional roofing service available today.

"It went really well. From the beginning of the project at the showroom to the installation, they provided good communication and kept us up to date with delivery, provided a 3rd-party inspector to check out our chimney, and when they would be coming out to install the unit. At the showroom, they spent a lot of time with us to pick out the right unit for our space, and were patient with all of our questions. The insert provides the heat that we expected, and is a wonderful addition to our living room space. We use it almost daily from November through March, and to date, we've never had an issue. East Coast Energy recommends an annual cleaning as well, and we do as well - their service is very thorough, and while we've never had a problem, it's good piece of mind when working with gas in your living space.

FAQs for heating cable for roof installation projects in Branchville, NJ

A typical heat cable uses 5 watts per foot, regardless of the outside temperature. So, if your cable is 100 feet long, it uses 500 watts per hour. Expect to pay an additional $40 to $200 or more per month on your electricity bill. Be sure to turn manual cables off in the summer when you don't need them.

To install heat tape on your roof, place it along the lower edge in a precise zig-zag pattern to maximize coverage and heat distribution. Professional installers secure the tape with specialized clips that attach firmly to your shingles. This method ensures even heat distribution to effectively melt ice and snow while maintaining your roof's integrity during severe winter conditions.

Choosing between heated gutters and roof heating cables usually comes down to budget, appearance, and performance. Heated gutters cost less to install and blend seamlessly with your home’s exterior, making them a discreet, lower-cost option for preventing ice dams. Roof heating cables deliver more customizable and powerful heat along roof edges to handle heavy snow and ice, but they require more material and labor, increasing your upfront investment. Evaluate your roof design, winter weather demands, and energy budget to select the system that works best for your property.

Roof heating cables prevent ice dams by melting snow and stopping ice buildup at the roof edge. Ice damming occurs when melting snow refreezes on a cold roof—often right above the gutter line—and blocks water from draining, which can force moisture under shingles into your home. Heating cables maintain a warm channel that clears ice dams as soon as they form and protects your roof from water damage and structural issues.

Roof heating cables last between two and ten years before replacement is needed, wearing out faster than your roof itself. Their lifespan depends on climate severity, cable type, and exposure to physical damage. Consistent inspections and preventative maintenance—such as clearing debris, tightening clips, and checking electrical connections—can extend their service life and ensure reliable snow and ice protection each winter.

To safely remove snow from your roof, start with a specially designed roof rake, standing firmly on the ground and pulling snow downhill rather than climbing onto the roof. You can also apply calcium chloride ice melt to break up stubborn ice or gently use a secured rope from a safe vantage point.

Keep in mind that large snow slabs can weigh hundreds of pounds and pose a serious fall risk. If conditions are hazardous or you lack the right equipment, hire a professional to protect your safety and your roof’s integrity.
