"I am extremely pleased with the painting that was done. As a 73 year old widow, I was leery about hiring someone and being taken advantage of. Marvin assured me they were a company that I could trust. He gave me a fair estimate, came to my home twice to review what needed to be done, gave me references, and stayed in contact with me constantly. From the day they started I knew I was going to be happy. They were on time, professional, very neat, protected my furniture , and checked with me constantly to make sure they were doing what I wanted. If you hire them you will not be disappointed, I promise. "

"Taurino did a fantastic job with my interior painting and expertly handled some external repairs and painting as well. Not only did he use his discount paint card to save me a lot of money, but his pride in workmanship is clear in the quality of the results. I would gladly hire him again."

"I had my basement & basement bathroom painted. Juan assessed the job and quoted a very reasonable price. He arrived early on the day of the job and did an outstanding job and left my home in a very clean and neat condition. I have clearly found my painter for any future work I need done. I'm very glad I used Angi to find a pro for my job."

"Our house is finished with a Drvit Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS). We needed a company to repair cracks and bulging in the exterior walls. We got several estimates - E.M.Texture was very competitive. What impressed us most was how patient and transparent Rob was. He explained what needed to be done and provided several alternatives depending on the scope of the work. He was very responsive and answered all of our questions. The crew was very prompt, professional and courteous. They cleaned the work area every evening. The finished product looks terrific. I can't over emphasize how terrific E.M. Texture was to work with. We highly recommend them."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Brandywine, MD

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
