He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed the subfloor that same day with a thoughtful, minimally invasive solution. The repair was perfect. Josh also gave me a great quote to install the flooring after the other contractor bailed. He explained everything clearly and fit me into his schedule that same week, which was a huge relief with a child in the house. "What a wonderful experience it has been hiring John. He showed up on time when I asked him to provide me with an estimate. Did some measuring and came back in a few days to go over the estimate with me. He also gave me an offer to do some additional rooms (which I needed to do anyway), for an even better price then if I had waited to do it. John and his son Jonathan were there everyday but Sunday's. On days I was home, I asked John to text me to give me about a 20 minute warning before they arrived and he always did. They worked hard, and they always cleaned up before they left. John gave me advise on things I could do to my home that needed repairs, and also helped me with the little things that could be done right then and there. <br /> While John and his son were there, I decided I wanted all new toilets in the house. I met John at the location I was purchasing them from, he picked them up, installed them, and disposed of the old ones for me. John and his son also laid travertine around my fireplace which came out beautiful. John also hung up my television and put a pipe down the wall from the back of the TV so the wires were hidden and he extending the mantel from my fireplace so I had a place to put the DVD and cable box. <br /> Anytime John had to run out to go to Home Depot to pick up extra items he may need, he always asked if I needed anything for the house. I have purchased a project home, and lots of little things needed to be replaced or fixed. John would pick them up for me and add them to the bill. He didn't charge extra for this, he just did this as a nice jester. <br /> About a month later I have asked John to come back to my home to lay down some additional travertine on my front porch and the back patio. That is currently being worked on. In the meantime, my dishwasher broke and I purchased a new one, John installed that for me and it works great. I also have some siding on my house that went bad and it is rotting, John and his son will be working on that this week. <br /> This is a great father/son operation and I feel very comfortable with them at my home. They are honest and trustworthy and I will keep hiring them and recommending them to friends and family. <br /> Also wanted to note that throughout the entire process, John would send me photos of how things were progressing while I was at work. <br /> Another thing that really helped me to be able to do some of my projects is that John worked out a <em>payment plan</em> with me and stops by once a month to collect what I owe him. It has really helped me to be able to do some of the things that needed to be done quicker than I would have originally been able to. <br />"

"After getting 7 estimates and getting the run around from several I called performance who had also painted my house when it was built.  They came promptly, gave me the color I wanted without argument, completed the job in a timely manner for a fair price.  I'm so happy. <br />"

"They did a great job with the installation of the ceiling fan and light fixture.  They cleaned up well after their work.  The caulking in the bathroom was done nicely except that the color of the caulk did not match exactly with what we had.  Unfortunately, they were not able to complete everthing:  They were not able to fix the sealant around the bathroom door, install a doorknocker, and could not retouch scratchs on the baseboards.  We were supposed to have the supplies for them to complete the work.  I did not have any baseboard puddy. The screw for the doorknocker was too small for our door and they did not have any screws with them that would have worked.  They also asked to take a sample of the silicon sealant wtih them to a complany that deals with shower doors and get back to us.  We never did get the sample they took.  They had called us a couple of weeks later saying that they could not come back and fix the bathroom door seal. <br />"
