"We chose Renewal by Andersen of Greater San Diego in December of 2021 to build and install new replacement windows for practically our entire house. (total of 21 windows). We researched several different window manufacturers and installers (including Pella, Andersen (new construction-type windows), Marvin, Milgard and others. Although Renewal By Andersen was EXPENSIVE, we felt the design, construction, and features of their windows (mostly large glider windows) as well as their installation technique (installed in a stucco house) best fit what we wanted. The sales rep. arranged for me to meet with one of their lead installers, Steve, and a technical consultant in their office to go over the installation process and options. We were particularly impressed that they employ all of their own installation crews and that they manage the whole process, including financing. Build time was quoted at 14-16 weeks and actually took approximately 17 weeks due to high demand. We delayed installation until mid-August due to travel plans. Installation was just completed in late August '22. The professionalism and process of the installation crew was superb! The crew leader, Jonathan L. and his crew member Toby P. are particularly to be commended for their teamwork and attention to my needs and concerns. Their helper, Sam, was also extremely careful in making sure the work areas were sealed off with plastic and floors covered completely where ever they worked. After the 1st day, it became apparent that installation was going to take longer than initially estimated and additional crew members were added. Thanks to Adrian, Juan, and others for their help and expertise. The installation took 5 days (as planned) with 4-5 crew members/day. The crew was very accommodating and offered to help with moving furniture, if we needed help. Everything was picked up every night. Another feature we weren't even aware of - Renewal By Andersen also employs their own painters that come following the job and provide paint/labor to paint anything disturbed, inside & out. Jose H. did and exceptional job on the finish painting details. We couldn't be happier with the finished result. The appearance and function of the windows exceeds our expectations. We have noticed significantly less heat gain in the house as well as much less outside noise. And particularly, we are amazed by the near invisibility of their TruScene screens. We feel that this purchase made a significant upgrade to our home that we will enjoy for the next 20-30 years. If I had to be critical of anything, my sales rep. left the company shortly after I signed the contract and no one else contacted me to take over managing the process. I had to initiate future contacts, but everything came together."
