"Hadrian did a great job replacing a tile job by a defunct contractor. Now it looks like it should have looked the first time. Good communication and price was fair. Very happy with the results."

"Now our shower floor re-glaze is failing, so ......Fortunately the company offers a five year guarantee. I don't look forward to having the fumes again, but that can't be helped. I have called and left a message with their answering service. Just a note.....we had a company come in to bid on replacing the tub & shower. They saw the failing shower pan re-glaze and commented that it was happening because it hadn't been cleaned and prepped properly, causing the failure. We hope that this won't keep happening. We've decided to try again rather than replacing. BTW....I didn't get to review the repair with all the changes in Angie's list, then a death in my family (our son) and an estate to handle which took a long time....so...............sorry about that...."

"Luis and his coworker Kiko were outstanding. Worked the whole day without taking a break, although I encouraged them to take breaks and lunch. They were very helpful and moved some things out of the way. The job was perfect. Very professional, friendly and I would highly recommend this team."

"Russell and his crew did a fantastic job, and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. They were courteous, respectful, and tidy as well as being highly skilled and efficient. I was especially pleased with the tile work, which always makes me nervous, but they did a beautiful job. Very professional and nice to work with. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and have already recommended to several friends"

FAQs for tile: ceramic and porcelain repair projects in Bremerton, WA

People use the terms refinishing, resurfacing, and reglazing interchangeably. Refinishing is a process that repairs old tiles and gives them a fresh new coat of finish. This is also called tile resurfacing or reglazing.

Yes, you can refinish tiles as a DIY project, but it’s important to follow all the steps involved. These include the following:

  1. Clean the tiles or hire a local tile cleaning service to remove all the residue (soap film, oil, grease, and dirt).

  2. Etch the tile to ensure the refinishing solution adheres properly.

  3. Fill in any cracks or chips in the tile.

  4. Recoat the grout.

  5. Repair any missing or damaged caulking where applicable.

  6. Apply the refinishing product, primer, and enamel.

Your newly reglazed tile should last between 10 and 15 years with proper installation. However, higher-traffic areas and moisture may result in a reduced life span. Explore the cost of different tile types to determine which material works best for your home and needs.

Your bathtub and tile refinishing cost will likely seem like a small price to pay for the transformation it offers. Provided your tile and grout are both intact, refinishing will bring a brand-new style at a fraction of the cost.

Yes, most ceramic tile is paintable with specific epoxy or tile paints. However, you’ll want to avoid areas of heavy use or moisture, such as countertops, showers, and bathtubs. Paint can crack, bubble, or wear away over time, especially on floors.
