"I sent him this: Hi Pablo, I want to make sure we are on the same page and my apologies for any misunderstandings. Original quote was for $1,800. Then changed to $2,100 for using Rain Bird products. We agreed Which I listed in a text on Jun 25, that I wanted specific valves, controller/timer and a rain sensor. Then you started the work and an addition $200 was added for repairs/leaks, bringing the total to $2,300. We agreed. We sent you $1 to confirm Zelle was correct and then Zelle'd $1,150, which was 50% of the $2,300. When you came out to install the correct controller/timer, I asked about adding Zone 8. You said it would be $250. I sent you a text, July 2, requesting a $100 charge for the Zone 8 valve, and you would not need to install the Rain Sensor. We spoke on the phone today July 3, in the am regarding some leaks and you said, $150 would be fine for Zone 8. You installed Zone 8, added 2 more sprinkler tops/units for $15 each and a receipt for $38.86. We sent a Zelle today (July 3) for $1,368.86. That would have been the remaining $1,1150, $30 for 2 additional sprinkler tops/units, $150 install for Zone 8 and the $38.86 receipt. The 2 sprinkler head/units, we did discuss today, are incorrect, because they water the wall and you would replace those. If I missed something, please let me know. It's important to me, to make sure you have been paid correctly. I would still like to hire you to add a shut off for the top 4 valves and add additional drip system, to make sure all the plants are being watered."

"Splendidly! The work took 3 weeks from the first day, which is exactly how long he estimated. I cannot praise Nato Vargas and his crew enough. They were here working everyday, without fail from 8am to 5pm. At the end of each day they carefully closed the gates and left the place clean and organized. Nato Vargas was always available - every time I needed to talk to him he answered his phone immediately. On more than one occasion my husband and I changed our minds about various things in the plans and Nato was extremely positive and willing to do exactly what we wanted and offered his suggestions for the design as well. He was more than fair when negotiating prices. I have never had a more pleasant experience with a project of this proportion. I interviewed 5 landscape contractors for this project and chose Nato because he had the most competitive bid and was very punctual and courteous and professional. "We called several landscape services after moving into a new home with no backyard.  Bill was very punctual to our meetings and completely understood our wants and needs in terms of maintenance, budget, and use of the backyard.  He came back with a beautiful design and iterated a few times on size of certain elements.  We told him our budget and he helped us understand where we could reduce certain aspects to stay within budget.  Once we agreed on the plan, we booked  service a few weeks out.  His team was extremely professional.  Unlike other companies in the the neighborhood, Bill's crew was courteous, polite, and they cleaned up after themselves.  The concrete looks perfect - no flaws or anything in it that doesn't look exactly right.  In the middle of the work, he had to put in a play pit for our trampoline due to a difficult HOA and neighbor situation.  He told us exactly how he could meet our needs and drop the trampoline down by installing a retaining wall and adjusting the drainage.  We knew it would cost more, but he showed us that since it was not something we had planned he only charged us for supplies and additional days of work, not a large overhead on the new design.  He worked with us to give the HOA the drainage statements they needed.  The yard looks absolutely beautiful.  We switched to artificial sod during the process and it looks great.  We went to the local nursery together and discussed types of plants and maintenance needs and everything looks perfect.  I have never had such a beautiful yard in my life - it is exactly as I wanted it.  I have used many landscaping services in the past but I will only use Bill Fernandez from now on.  He works with you to design the yard of your dreams and has a very professional crew.  I can't recommend him highly enough.

This time I asked him to have my kitchen floor and countertop remodeled as well as my bathroom floor, countertop and tiles.
