He was also proactive in finding my preferred flooring material (hardwood) at roughly the same cost as vinyl would have been. I had initially contacted him to install vinyl over my aged hardwood kitchen floor, because that's all I thought would be possible to upgrade the floor. However, once he realized I had some excess unused hardwood flooring, he was able to combine it with what was already down and with sanding brought a complete hardwood floor back to life instead of the vinyl option.
