"I called JD early in the morning. My privacy fence gate had been rickety for several weeks and had finally completely come off the hinges. He answered immediately and agreed to come by late that afternoon to take a look and give me a price. He came on time, and even though it was freezing cold,very windy, and almost dark, he said he could fix it right then. He pointed out that the gate was actually on upside down and it fixed it satisfactorily in less than an hour. I will call JD again for handyman work.

The job was completed quickly and for the qouted price. After they left, my mother found that one side of the gutter was not done the way she had expected and there was also a slight leak where two sections of gutter were joined. She contacted James and he came back (the first day it was not raining) to finish out the gutter the way my parents wanted and to repair the leak. There was no additional charge for the second visit. My parents hired James again about a week later to handle some additional small repair jobs at their house and rental property. They are pleased with results.

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"
