"We needed to get an exterior stucco wall that had been damaged at a commercial office building repaired. PR Stucco met us at the site for a cost estimate at a reasonable rate and then promptly completed the repairs on the scheduled date to our complete satisfaction. We would definitely recommend Jorge and PR Stucco for any stucco work needed based on the great experience we had!"

"Edgar was fantastic to work with. Our project morphed from a stucco repair to an exterior construction project to change the facade of our home. Edgar was so helpful in getting the job done and impressed me with his attention to detail and skill set as the project evolved. I highly recommend calling Edgar and his team at the stucco doctor for any home repairs."

"Our building consists of three owner occupied townhouses. One unit sold in June 2022 and the building inspection identified a construction defect that affected the entire building and needed to be corrected. We took bids, and identified King Plastering as the best candidate. They werenâ t the cheapest bid, but we liked their reviews; A+ rating on the BBB website, and 25 year history. The building is 18 years old, and the original stucco was not holding up especially well. We decided to re-stucco the entire building; correct the original flaw; and re-seal around all the windows and doors.. King did a great job. It looks like a new building. They crew worked really hard and got the job done within the original time estimate despite some significant rain delays. Overall, a great result and we would definitely hire them again."

"This is a very professional, family run business. They care about their work and it shows in the final product. They did a complete stucco replacement on our house. The cost was competitive with other bids, the work was excellent and the customer service was way beyond expectations. I would highly recommend them."

"Danielle and Sulpicio Rangell, owners of Elk Stucco, were wonderful to work with. They did a professional job of describing the process of repairing our damaged stucco. They were timely in submitting details for submission to our home owners board. Finally, they kept us informed during the work, and brought us a bucket of product for for us to use for touch-ups."

"Juan, repaired a few holes we had from birds pecking at our stucco. After being told we needed to replace whole trim pieces for an excessive cost, Juan inspected and was able to patch and repair the holes much more cost effectively.. He also found a couple other smaller areas that needed minor repairs and fixed those too. Juan is prompt, friendly, trustworthy, skilled and kept his word on days and arrival times. We will definitely use Juan for future projects."

"Mike is the best! I was selling my home and was told by the buyer, my 18-year-old roof needed to be replaced. I contacted Mike and he came over the next morning. His non-bias assessment of my roof, skylights and gutters was exceptional. He determined the roof had 5-10 years, skylights and gutters were secure. He is professional, explains everything and does not beat around the bush. His report was timely and thorough."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Brighton, CO

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
