"We recently expanded a deck, added a patio cover, and are putting a hot tub underneath this second floor deck. There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid, but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid."

"Spenser provided me with a timely quote specifying the type of concrete, to include re-bar and how much concrete would be used. I also needed my walkway replaced and this service was also provided. The work was done in only three days. Cretec warrants my driveway for one year. If I need any more concrete work done, I will contact Cretec."

I exchanged emails and pictures in advance of my appointment, and got some details about what to expect including the names of both workers. The workers arrived a bit early (so much better than late:-), I showed them what I needed, and one person started the work while I went to the hardware store with the other fellow to purchase the materials needed.

There was one drywall project that I thought would require an expensive repair. Instead, they fixed it easily and I was thrilled. 

They fixed a crooked cabinet in my kitchen that had been driving me crazy.

 They replaced door trim and added baseboard trim to several rooms, including the kitchen. After they left I discovered that they'd actually moved the refrigerator and put trim on that portion of floor too! I didn't even think to request this and was so happy to see it. Clearly, they take their work seriously and wanted to do the best job possible, but this was above and beyond and I'm so happy!

I'd purchased a block of hours at a discount from Angie's list, and they finished my tasks a few minutes early. So they offered to do a few other minor things instead of packing up immediately. Wonderful!

I am so very pleased with this company. I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them to anyone. The work they did for me was simple, but given the level of quality and attention to detail, I'd trust them with something larger without hesitation.

"Overall I think Homeowners Concrete is a good company. Our project was not very straight forward, and Mote and his crew had a lot of good input regarding our project plans. I would say Mote, which I believe is a part owner/project manager, has great communication skills. I really appreciated the fact that he would keep me up-to-date on schedule, and would always promptly call me if I ever texted him. The biggest downside, and it's not that big, is the overall attention to detail. I felt like there were a few mis-steps that could have been avoided if they had taken a few extra minutes to double check their work. I compiled two videos. The first one is a collection of photos and timelapse videos that takes you through the entire project. This will give you some insight as to how they work. "When we first contacted them, Mariano came to give us a quote the very next day. The quote beat his competitors by a long shot, and he was a very nice guy who had received great reviews on Angie's List before. The initial yard clean-up & barkdust went forward as scheduled. We were delighted with his crew's work and speed with which they got it all done. However, once we scheduled them for twice monthly upkeep thereafter, there were THREE occasions where they did not show up on the day or time scheduled to do the maintenance. Each time we had to call and Mariano had someone there to do the work the next day, yet it was a major inconvenience not having them show when they would say they would. Our family's schedule is too busy for this kind of unreliability. Therefore we will not be using their services again this summer and will be hiring another company, even if that means paying a bit more."

"Alan and his team are very hard workers and aim to please.  They were friendly, arrived on time, did a good clean up and  explained very well what to expect.  What I have learned in concrete staining, especially concrete that had been covered in tile for 50+ yrs, is you can not predict what the concrete color will be, it is not like paint.  I am very glad I choose a light color to stain with, as my floors then darkened up to a deep brown/grey/green/tan.  I used the water based sealant and it gave more of a Matte finish even though the test sample was more shiny. So if you want a shiny finish go with the industrial sealer.    We wanted just a bit more shine so Alan came back and fixed it with a product called Zep.  It is perfect!  Finishing the floors was not as toxic smelling as I thought it would be. ( My hard wood floor refinishing we had to leave the house for a few days.)  Windows were left open for part of the day but closed at night and it was cold as we had freezing rain.  The floors dried fast and we were able to walk on them in 24 hours or less.  I would highly recommend Your Concrete Guy.  He was the most reasonable offer we had and was flexible with my requests for additional work and sealant.

"This is the second time I hired them since they did a good job the first time when I had my deck replaced with pavers. The problem I have with them is that the workers do not know how to plant plants. several of the of plants died. I had to replant at least 5 plants. When I was replanting (one blew out of its hole on a windy day) I found that they only dug the holes just big enough for the plant to fit then plopped the plant in. They were very sickly looking until I replanted. Also, a friend of mine just recently used them to re-do pavers, she had her dogs come in stinking of poo. She then found a spot behind her shed where one of the workers pooped and left their wipes right there. They could have at least buried it or put it in a bag to put in the garbage. Needless to say it ended up being a job of cleaning 3 dogs and the mess itself."
